The coldness permeating the forest around the shrine reached the borders of the safe zone.

Their origin, the evil spirits, however, rarely made their presence seen close for the priestesses to witness their gruesome forms. 

All appeared fine as long as those evil spirits could exist in the forest and continue enhancing the natural defenses of the woods, imprisoning those meant to be imprisoned inside.

Things naturally changed when Benjamin pierced through the clouds and dropped into the shrine's safe zone. He possessed a skill strong enough to make money off of the evil spirits.

'Though no one voiced it out, I think everyone knows that those evil spirits have genuine lives,' Benjamin thought as he made his way through the forest. What he meant was that those evil spirits came to life from genuine lives stemming from humans or any other source.
