Happy Reading
The girl was very surprised, but couldn't help it when suddenly the Eagle pulled her head so that it sank on the man's thigh. Eagle's jacket now covers Gladys head and back.
Gladys tried to fight back, but the man's strong hands held her back. His voice was muffled because his mouth was tightly pressed against the Eagle's thigh.
The girl panicked even more when the lights in the car went out, then the sound of music playing from the car's MP3 player.
"Shut up! If you don't want to die," the Eagle said coldly in a half-whisper, "and don't try to bite me!" he continued.
Instantly Gladys's body froze and for some reason just obeyed the man's words which made the hairs on her spine tingle.
'Oh my God… I'm really in real danger this time,' Gladys thought.
According to Gladys, the Eagle was as evil as the bald man she had injured earlier. Even he could read minds too, how would he know if the girl was intending to bite the man's thigh. Oh, that's terrible.
Gradually the sound of footsteps and two people talking from outside the car made her involuntarily hold her breath.
"Running fast too girl. Damn it!"
"It's terrible. If we don't find it, we'll die!"
Suddenly there was a knock on the car window. The girl's palms felt cold especially when the Eagle calmly opened the car window. Maybe the Eagles are also their flock and will throw Gladys at the two people. Various bad thoughts went through Gladys' head.
"What's the matter?" asked the Eagle hoarsely at the two men.
"See a girl in a white dress through here?" One of them spoken.
The eagle shrugged his shoulders, then said.
"Can't you see I'm busy?" The eagle pointed down with his eyes, "and you two have disturbed my busy life," he continued, staring intently at the two men.
Their eyes darted to Eagle's thigh where Gladys's head rested on it. Luckily the atmosphere in the car was dark so it wasn't very clear, coupled with the Eagle's jacket that partially covered his body. The two men chuckled, as if they understood the Eagle's intentions.
"Sorry, we've disturbed your fun. Please continue, Bro!" they said while laughing heartily, then walked away without permission.
The eagle did not respond, but his eyes continued to monitor the movements of the two men until they disappeared at the end of the alley. Then he let go of Gladys, but the girl still didn't move from her position.
"They're gone."
His brow furrowed, feeling something strange. A little worried because the girl didn't respond at all.
An uneasy feeling made him take the initiative to put his index finger to his nose and check Gladys' pulse. Just to make sure the girl is still breathing or not. However, Gladys slowly lifted her shoulders to sit her in the passenger seat, then adjusted the position of the seat back so that it fell a little.
"Tsk, don't bother this girl!" The eagle huffed in annoyance as he threw himself into the car seat.
At a glance, the Eagle glanced at the girl beside him who seemed to be sleeping. The eyes with curly eyelashes were closed as he breathed regularly out of his mouth.
I don't know, there's something holding the Eagle to stare at the curves of that beautiful face for a long time. Her skin looks so smooth with flushed cheeks. He has a button nose shape which makes him even more attractive.
The Eagle's gaze stopped at the luscious lips that made his blood boil instantly. The man gulped as his index finger brushed the strands of hair that covered Gladys's face. But that only lasted for a few seconds, and then he quickly shook his head and blinked.
The eagle immediately pulled the body and returned to face the road ahead. He rubbed his rough face, then grabbed the steering wheel and started the car. He muttered while shaking his head slowly.
"Anyway, this girl even fell asleep."

The eyes that were closed seemed to move. The glare of the mini market lights right in front of the car woke him up. Slowly he opened his eyes, then squinted again and winced. He turned his head away and covered his eyes with the back of his hand.
The girl blinked quickly, realizing that she was still in the same car, but the owner was nowhere to be found. While the man's jacket was still on top of him, covering his chest.
Instantly Gladys cheeks warmed. His heart seemed to say that the man was a good person. However, he tried to get rid of all that. This time he didn't want to be fooled again. It was enough once he was framed by a sweet-mouthed taxi driver who turned out to have evil intentions to sell himself.
Gladys snorted loudly. He was annoyed at the thought. Her eyes felt hot, then warm tears spilled freely and ran down her smooth cheeks. His little heart regretted a little what happened to him today. If only he hadn't run away, maybe this bad thing wouldn't have happened to him. But if he continued with the marriage, he might spend his life regretting it.
The girl grimaced slightly when moving her body to get up while adjusting the position of the back of the car seat to return to normal, then leaned her back there. Meanwhile, his left hand massaged his temple with his elbow on the window. His head felt heavy as if it had been hit by a large rock. Dizziness and pain. His whole body seemed boneless.
A moment he cursed his stupidity a moment ago. How could he even fall asleep when he was in danger, when it was very possible that something bad could happen to him, again. However, for some reason when he was in the lap of the Eagle he felt safe so he easily gave in to his tiredness and sleepiness.
Not long after, Elang came out of the mini market carrying a shopping bag and his other hand holding a cell phone to his ear. Judging from the man's expression, it seemed like a serious conversation.
The car door suddenly opened, Eagle entered while talking to someone through his cellphone.
"Okay. Tonight I will take care of everything," said the Eagle and then hung up the phone.
The man turned to the girl beside him who was already awake and was staring at him in silence.
"You're finally awake," he said calmly.
Meanwhile, Gladys looked at him fiercely, making the Eagle confused because at this time the girl should be happy that she had escaped the pursuit of the two creatures and it was all thanks to her.
The eagle frowned, "why you?"
A slap almost landed on the eagle's cheek if he hadn't caught the tiny hand quickly.
"Here, fill your stomach first so that your punch is more powerful," he said casually placing the shopping bag on Gladys' lap, then released the grip on the girl's hand.
This time it was Gladys who was confused. His eyes alternately looked at the Eagle and the shopping bag on his lap.
Ah, looks like Gladys has to put off her annoyance first. Elang was right, he needed energy to beat the man later.
