章節 22: Rei's Wrath

Rei was curently engulfed by a suffocating feeling seeing the innocent lives gone just like that, helpless by their own fate.
Rei dashed through the enemies, he swing, stab, and slashed the Chōkuto without remorse, his target was clear! any marines with uniform still standing on the beach would become his victim, the marines could only watch helplessly being slaughtered after they saw a flash of whitelight passed them by!
the situation suddenly turned silent as the surviving villagers witnessed with their own eyes how a stranger with tall body, glistening white skin, waist-long white hair and 2 small horns on his forehead stabbed his sword towards the last standing marine.
after his rampage, Rei made sure no marines were left alive, then he walked towards the restless survivor, they were scared by his appearance and by his action even more so.
Rei stopped on his track and spoke, "tend to the wounded, search the one still alive!"
seeing the villagers just stayed still, Rei raised his voice, "QUICKLY! HELP THE ONE STILL ALIVE!"
hearing his roar, the men begun to moves and helping their fellow villagers, Rei took out all of his wound ointments and bandages, he shared those with the other villagers.
after Rei finished distributing ointments and bandages, he noticed one young man stood still on the middle of the road watching the headless corpse besides him blankly.
"are you okay?" Rei approached and spoke to him.
"huaa!" the young man jumping out in fright hearing Rei ethereal voice.
seeing Rei stood so close to him, the young man couldn't helped but kneeled, he pressed his forehead hard on the ground and begged for mercy.
Rei shook his head, soon after he helped the young man to sit and asked about what had happened and why the marines did those thing.
the young man quickly recounted about what happened and why the marines rounded them up.
when the young man finished his recollection, he didn't notice how grim Rei's face currently were. all Rei understood was only two points, "Apis and Dragon".
Rei stood and walks towards the survivors, he told them to find a safe place temporarily, which they immediately obliged. they also helping the old muscular village chief which happened hasn't died yet to walk.
the chief hobled and being helped by the other men, he glanced towards Rei and mouthing "thank you" which Rei happened to see it.
Rei smiled slightly and nodded indicating him to not worry.
just now Rei noticed the familiar Crane's Wing Formation being deployed on the Warship Island shoreline! he steps just right at the boundary between seawater and sand, he looked towards the rowing boats which approached the shore at this moment.
gritted his teeth he glared at the rowing boats coming, "Hencheman...!" he grunted from behind his teeth.
just when he wanted to steps on the sea, suddenly the system notification appeared,
「Ding! you have defeated the enemies! you got 68 G-pts, would you like to use it?
current G-pts : 81pts 」
Rei gave it a little thought, he took a deep breath and said within his thought, 'please give me something useful!'
"system, roll gacha 8 times!"
「Ding! congratulations you got x6 black boxes, x2 wooden boxes. would you like to open the boxes? current G-pts : 1 」
Rei couldn't hide his disappointment, the system still messing with him apparently.
seeing the marine row boats getting closer, Rei had no choice, "open 2 wooden boxes."
he just hope the system gave him something useful for the current situations and surprise surprise, speak of the devil.
「Ding! congratulations you got (D) ninjutsu, Shunshin no Jutsu. you got Chūnin grade close combat proficiency x1. 」
Rei eyes flickered when he saw what the system had given him, a body movements technique famous in naruto series!
"body flicker technique? not bad at all!" exclaimed Rei. however he had no time for joy as the marine within the row boats were getting closer and closer!
onboard one of the marine rowboat, "sir! i see someone standing at the shore! eh...?"
the marine watcher on board were suddenly tongue-tied when he noticed through the binocular the man he just saw suddenly vanished with only dust left behind!
"eh where is he? he suddenly vanished sir! i'll try to...." his speech were interrupted by his mates taped on his shoulder.
when he took away his binocular, he saw with confusion all of the marines eyes onboard were glued at the middle of the rowing boats, their eyes were wide open and their jaw were even more so!
as the watcher followed his fellow marines sight, he too was shaken to the core! he saw the foreign passenger abruptly apeared amongst their rank! a tall man with peculiar outfit, with overflowing white hair and 2 small horns stood there without any warning!
he witnesed in horror as the stranger suddenly slashed his rested sword from his shoulder downward!
'Slaaash...!'
'Cruuumbllleeee...!'
the rowboat suddenly cutted in half right in the middle! just like a hot knife through butter!
"HUAAAAA!"
"HEEEEEELP!"
the marine on the poor rowing board could only watched helplessly as they were being devoured by the seawater!
just right after Rei got Body Flicker Technique and learnt it on the spot, he begun to devised a plan, Rei knew he would be helpless if he were to face the marines on land. after all, Rei saw there was no less than 50 rowing boats coming ashore! and within each boats there were 7 or 8 armed marine personels!
and so, his plan were simple. using Shunshin no Jutsu coupled with his ability to walk on water, Rei needed to prevents the marines within the rowing boats to come ashore.
Rei doesn't need to slay every marine personels onboard, he just need to sunk their rowing boats and the sea would decide their fate later, Rei counted on the distance between the rowing boats currently and the land, as it turns out, it was more than 1.5km away! and he knew it would be an arduous challenge for human to cover such distance by swimming!
after he succesfully assaulted the first rowing boats, he set his sight next towards the nearest boat! utilizing his Shunshin, Rei began to moving like a ghost in the middle of the day! reaping the poor boats soul and letting its passengers succumbs into the cold seawater.

more and more marines begun to swam desperately in the middle of the sea, some chivalrous marines could be seen helping their mates to swim, some poor ones whom couldn't swim could only petrified as their lungs were being invaded by the cold seawater, and as for the smarter bunch, they began to undress their uniform as to not burden their body further!
after Rei claimed 20 or so rowing boats, the rest of the still floating rowing boats marine personels finaly snaped back to reality! they began to listen to their superior, raising their riffles they took aim only to find out there was no target!
Rei shunshin was being boosted by his bloodline ability, it allowed him to use almost any ninja technique to perfection. when he used shunshin technique, all his opponent could see was only a flash of white light passing!
"SHOOOT! SHOOT HIM!" shouted one of marine leader, his voice clearly show how nervous he currently was.
"WHAT TO SHOOT CHIEF? HE CAN RUN ON WATER! WE CAN'T EVEN SEE HIM!" rebuked one of his crew with cold sweat dripping down his back.
on top of the marines mothership, Nelson and his officers also saw what happened with grim expressions, they saw their own marine crews were thrown out from the boats and grasping for their life in the middle of the sea!
one by one, the marines rowing boats with their trained crew which were supposedly outnumbered their enemy, being toyed like a helpless child, Nelson and everone presents thought it was supposedly an easy victory for them!
however, fate was a cruel mistress indeed, they were so helpless being supressed back by their enemy which was only person! only one person! no words could escape to describe how it all happened!
no one says anything as if cat got their tongue, it last until finaly Nelson gave an order!
"OPEN FIRE! SHOOT THE CANNON! I WANT HIM DEAD! RIGHT NOW!" he yelled without thinking about the consequences!
one of the officer tried to reason with him and said, "but sir! our men are still below there! if we open fire, we will shoot at our own men!"
Nelson glared at his officer fiercely! and yelled back with even louder voice,
"I DON'T CARE! I SAID OPEN FIRE!"
the officers on board were all paused slightly, however Nelson notoriety were well known after all, so they began to give the respective battleships an order to open fire!
"OPEN FIRE! ALL SHIP OPEN FIRE! AIM AT THAT GHOST!" shouted the officers into the denden mushi, relaying his order towards all of the battleships on the ready!
'BOOOOOM!'
'BOOOOOM!'
'BOOOOOM!'
in no time, all battleships within the formation begun to unleashed another hell towards the area which supposedly their target currently at!
and all hell break loose!
"WHY? WHY? ARE YOU DOING THIS?"
"HEEEY! WE ARE ALLIES!"
"STOP! PLEASE STOP! MOMMY!"
'BOOOOOM....!'
'SPLAASH.....!'
the might of the 17 battleships smited upon their own allies! no cries were heard as the cannonball explosions drowned all pleading voices and sounds!
only the heartbreaking scene could be witnessed at those particular area of the sea. boats wrecked, the surrounding seawater turned red in instant, strewn limb and body parts of the marine crews were everywhere!
just right before the tragedy struck, Rei sense of danger roared out of control. using Shunshin, he step quite far away immediately as he heard the sound of first cannon erupted from the formation!
Rei couldn't belief with what he saw! the red tint within his silvery eyes become more and more prominent and now there was bulging veins showed near his temple, Rei didn't noticed all of this as what he felt right now were only an outrage! disappointment! shame! and most of all an overwhelming feeling of fury!
"Hencheman....!" Rei grunted under his breath, tried to hold his emotion in check.
unable to held it any longer, Rei set his sight towards the nearest battleships within the formation which still bombarding the area ahead.
Rei squinted his eyes and dashed towards the battleship.
