Elena hesitated for a moment before stepping back and crossing her arms over her chest. "Fine," she said reluctantly. "I'll go out with you - just once - to hear your apology."
Damien grinned widely as he pulled her into a tight embrace.
"Good," he whispered into her ear. "Because I have something special planned."
Elena rolled her eyes at his arrogance, but couldn't help feeling a surge of excitement at the thought of what he might have in store for her.
As they made their way through the busy streets, to the outskirts of the city, their car suddenly stops and Damien took Elena by the hand and led her towards an open beach, his favourite spot
"Wow this place is so beautiful, why did you bring me here?" Elena asked curiously.
Damien smirked. "Just trust me," her pulse speds up as she watched him reach into his pocket and pull out a small velvet box.
"Elena brown ," he began dramatically. "I've known you for a night - had sex with you - and one thing is certain: I want you to be my wife."
Emma felt shocked to her bones - did the number one mafia boss in the country just asked her to marry him? She had met him only twice and it hadn't even been under pleasant circumstances.
"What the hell?" she yelled at him, her voice laced with anger. "I thought you were going to apologize instead you brought me out here to mock me!"
Elena felt a surge of anger rise within her as Damien's words hit her like a punch to the gut. She couldn't believe that he had the audacity to mock her after what they had done together. Without another word, she turned away from him and running back to the highway , tears streaming down her face.
She didn't know where she was going or what she was thinking. All she knew was that she needed to get away from that place and from him, she spotted a taxi going back to the city. With one final glance back, Elena boarded the taxi and gave the driver her address.
As soon as the taxi pulled away from the curb, Emma collapsed into the seat and let out a shaky breath. She couldn't believe how badly she had messed up.
Here she was, running away from the one person who could give her everything she wanted - love, protection, and pleasure beyond imagining - all because she couldn't overcome her fear of commitment.
As the taxi drove through the city,And stops at her apartment block. She goes inside her scattered room and packed her bag and luggage, feeling a sense of urgency that she couldn't explain. Something was telling her to leave the city and Damien she just got hurt by her ex boyfriend now Damien
Elena left her apartment and took a deep breath, trying to shake off the memories of her ex-boyfriend and Damien. As she walked down the street, she couldn't help but feel a sense of dread. She knew that leaving Damien behind was for the best.
The taxi arrived and Elena quickly got in, giving one final look at the neighborhood before it drove away into the night. As she settled into her seat, she couldn't help but feel a sense of sadness wash over her as she thought about everything she was leaving behind.
"Where to?" asked the driver, breaking Elena out of her thoughts.
"I don't know the place " she said honestly, giving the driver address .
The driver looks at the paper understandingly and started driving through the city streets before finally hitting the open road. Elena closed her eyes and let herself drift off to sleep
The taxi driver pulled up in front of a small, secluded house on a dirt road. she looked at the dilapidated building and wondered if this was really the right place. But she had given the driver the address of her aunt who lived in this remote town
She stepped out of the taxi, and made her way towards the front door. The air was thick with humidity and bugs buzzed around her head as she knocked on the door.
A small voice called from inside, "Who is it?"
"It's me," Elena replied hesitantly.
The door creaked open to reveal an elderly woman with grey hair and wrinkled skin. "What do you want?" she snapped, eyeing Elena suspiciously.
"I'm your niece," Elena said calmly. "Madeline's daughter."
