Neveah stood in Xenon's cave, feeling rather unsettled or more accurately...awkward, 

She shifted from one foot to the other, Neveah did not want to believe she was nervous, she had never been nervous about anything in her life, much less something so insignificant.

Neveah had just told Xenon she had something to say to him and now Neveah regretted mentioning it, she did not know how she could begin saying the words she needed to.

How did one express gratitude to a dragon like Xenon? Would he even understand? 

Regardless of that, Neveah still saw the need to be grateful, she had learnt to be grateful for even the most insignificant favors,

Neveah's life had always been difficult, she did not receive favors often and so she knew the value of a small favor given even when others would consider it insignificant.
