You have a sister
*Smith family there's always something going on.*
Jakes's father said "your sister will be here tomorrow cancel whatever plans you have tomorrow."
Jakes said "why is she now arriving the day before I'm leaving?
Jakes's father said "she wants to see you."
Jakes said "you are okay with her coming here have you forgot what she did?"
Jakes's father said "she is my daughter and your sister you will be here tomorrow that's final."
Jakes said "is she coming with your old business partner slash ex-friend?"
Jakes's father said "just stop it."
Laura got there while they were arguing.
Laura said "sorry for interrupting."
Jakes's father said "jakes and I are done, you better drop that attitude when your sister gets here I'm too old to play peacemaker in my own home."
*Jakes's father left the room.*
Laura said "you have a sister?"
Jakes said "unfortunately I do."
Laura said "why didn't you tell me about her?"
Jakes said "what do you want to know, that she is a horrible person treated me like dirty."
Laura said "what did she do?"
Jakes said " more like what she didn't do be a sister to me, she treated me badly because of my father told her that one day I will inherit all of this and that I will be in charge because I'm a man."
Laura said "that sounds sexist."
Jakes said "she didn't take it well, she was mean to me she told me she wished I wasn't born and that I ruined her life. "
Laura said "we all say things we don't mean."
Jakes said "When I was in high school she was now working for my father knowing she will get 40% of everything and I will get 60 %, she plotted to get rid of my father so that she will be in charge when that fail, she took my father's clients and some of the workers. My father's friend/ business partner they got married and started their own company."
Laura said "such betrayal."
Jakes said "yeah, she is ruthless too ambitious, she will do anything to get on top no matter who she hurts in the process. "
Laura said "so where you and your father there at her wedding, did she come to your mother's funeral?"
Jakes said "my father heard from some of his friends that his daughter was getting married to his friend, she left didn't stay in touch with us arrived at my mother's funeral late and disappeared after the funeral. She didn't even ask how I was doing."
Laura said "that's horrible, your father wants her here you should forgive her if he can do that you can also."
Jakes said "I will think about it."
Laura said "forgive her and just let it go please babe. "
*It was a first time jakes cried in front of Laura, he always wants to act tough have it all together but today it was hard trying not to cry , he was in pain*.
