Eric's Father worried about Eric he was not himself.
Eric's Father said "how was college today?"
Eric said "Good, just worried about my friend Laura."
Eric's Father said "What is wrong with her."
Eric said "I don't know just think she is going through something right now, she is like a sister to me I don't know why she is not telling me anything."
Eric's Father said "Clearly, she doesn't see you as her brother and stop worrying about her stop being friends with her."
Eric said "What is your real issue here, you and mother don't like her and her father."
Eric's Father said "just have history with her father and prefer it stays hidden in the past."
Eric said "I'm confused."
Eric's Father said "Forget about it."
What happens when we go on like nothing happened and think everything will resolve itself? We go on and don't want to talk about it. What good does that do to us, we were not meant to be like this have such weight around our shoulders.
Jakes said "you don't look alright."
Laura said "just having a bad day."
Jakes said "you are sweating like crazy, do you have a fever or what, and it's not even that hot."
Laura said "I'm just not feeling well."
The lecture said" Laura you got 89 in your test score so unlike you, you're dropping your marks at this time of the year."
Laura said "It's not like I'm going to fail and did you tell the other's to improve I doubt there's one here who got 100 or even 90 %."
Emily said "Wow, is she saying we are not as smart as she is."
Parker said "are you Emily?"
Becky said "shut up Parker."
The lecture said "keep it down everyone, Miss Laura black come to my office after you done attending your classes."
Laura said "I will."
Jakes said "can we talk, what was that about?"
Laura said "you mean the lecture giving me a headache about needing 11 marks, so what I didn't get 100 why does he not call out everyone he choose me."
Jakes said "he knows you are smart, can do better than that, he is just worried."
Laura said "worried? He just embarrassed me in front of all these students."
Jakes said "I think you did that all by yourself by talking back at him, it was not cool."
Laura said "I know I was wrong just...."
Jakes said "just what."
Laura said "I think I am...."
Jakes said "someone call an ambulance."
Eric said "Laura, are you alright just breathe."
Hospital
Jakes and Eric went to the hospital waiting in the waiting room.
Eric said "what happened."
Jakes said "I don't know, we were talking and then next thing panic attack happened."
Eric said "I could tell she is going through something, but I did nothing."
Jakes said "I know how you feel, just wish she could talk."
Eric said "I didn't realise you care about her."
Jakes said "she is my partner, doing school work together."
Eric said "I know just think you like her and I'm just surprise you're here waiting to hear what the doctor says, if that's not caring than I don't know much."
The doctor came out and let them know she is fine and she will be discharged
Jakes said "Thank God."
The doctor said " don't worry, your girlfriend just needs to rest, take it easy make sure she does not stress or worry, you can see her now but she is asleep."
Eric said "your girlfriend?"
Jakes said "we are not family so they wouldn't allow us to see her and the doctor assumed."
Eric said "you were happy to play along."
They went to see Laura.
Jakes said "she looks so peaceful."
Eric said "I pray and wish her life will be peaceful, just want her happy she's been through a lot."
Jakes said "how long have you been friends with her and is she a difficult person?"
Eric said "for years now, we practically grow up together same schools until now in college crazy how our parents haven't met she is like a sister to me, I would not say difficult I get her and understand who she is."
Jakes thought who Laura is other than what she pretends to be or is that who she really is. Laura woke up.
Laura said "I can't even sleep in peace with you two making noise."
Eric said "she is alive."
Laura said "was I dying people?"
Jakes said "you had us worried there."
Eric said "he was more worried."
Laura said "I'm good thank you for being here both of you."
Jakes said "I will drive you to your place."
Laura said "I will manage thanks."
Eric said "don't be difficult."
Jakes said "I thought you said she wasn't."
Laura said "so, you two were talking about me."
Eric said "well."
Laura said "I don't want to hear it."
Jakes said "do you want to hear about an appointment to see a therapist, only if you want to."
Eric said "Oh you did what, she hates it to be told what to do, so you made this appointment already."
Jakes said "No, just want her to agree to it first."
Eric said "Good luck."
Laura said "I'm here in the room stop talking like I'm not here, you two just go."
Eric said "I can give you a ride."
Laura said "No, thank you. "
