Norman steered the car into the hotel's parking lot and brought it to a stop. The four occupants got out of the car and walked towards the hotel's entrance.

Upon entering, Tinashe led the way to the events hall, with Tariro by his side.

They proceeded to the podium followed by the curious stares of guests.

Clearing his throat, Tinashe waited for the noise from the guests to die down before proceeding.

"Ladies and gentlemen, there has been a slight change of plan, I will no longer be marrying Nomalanga".

The announcement was met with mix of disbelief and surprise from the guests. Bere rushed onto the podium with Nomalanga holding up the front of her wedding gown, hot on his heels.

Pushing Tinashe aside, Bere announced, facing the guests, "Tinashe was only joking, ladies and gentlemen".
