W O W Now this is a story. No more copy pastes of li zhang or wang mo. A true gem on this platform. The characters. The fight scenes. The world building. My only complaint….. author… perhaps maybe… can I chain you in my basement? It’s lovely I swear! All the moss mold lizards and rats you love to write about! Just.. give me more!!

The translation is very bad. That's the first thing. The story itself is good and the writing is okay, but I liked the overall atmosphere of the world. The black mark optimization concept is a bit worn out but okay too. The background and atmosphere of the world are what carry the story ...as the characters are not that good.
So far, the novel is great. An interesting and well paced plot. This is definitely a must read novel. My only issue with this novel is the translation quality.
This novel is interesting and well-paced. The characters aren’t fully flushed out as I’d like them to be, but they are more realistic and have their own lives. The main characters abilities were well designed and is interesting without being overly overpowered — the threats are actually dangerous and aren’t the usual face slapping troupe. It’s an enjoyable read for sure! I’d recommended it for those looking for a survival, apocalyptic, and horror-lite novel, with a decently advantaged mc.
A really good horror story ruined by a bad MC. Honestly if you can ignore or like the usual brainless-heartless psycho MC trope, then you’ll be fine. To give you an example, guy has a shelter from his broken powers but he refuses to let anyone in despite 99% of humans dying. Inevitably when he refuses to let anyone in this shelter they have no choice since being outside means death anyways, they attack. He cripples them and leaves them outside to die by the horrors. Rinse and repeat this trope. But at the same time he keeps whining that he doesn’t want to be the only “human left alive in the world.” Literally no one can survive the horrors but him…. Honestly, story is still so good that I ignored MC and kept reading. But latest chapters show that he’s going to a different world to learn cultivation… I wanted to read a horror base building kinda story… not this, so I’m out.

This really is awesome! To keep it relatively brief, this is pretty much a survival-horror genre. If you have read and enjoyed ‘My Haunted House of Horrors’, you’d probably like this. Honestly, even if you don’t like Chinese novels, or horror, I think you’ll like this. You can tell the author likes this story, and has fun making it. Give it a go!
Very unlikable MC. There world building has a lot of potential but it's still unrealized 20 chapters in. The system has no guidelines to show what it can do so it really spark interest. But it is the MC that is the worst. Useless and selfish piece of shit.
This book is so good, just when you think things can’t get worse.. the world slaps the mc in the face. Mc is never so strong that the novel is boring making it a good change of pace. Give it a try and get hooked like I did. I’ve currently read to somewhere around 350 chapters
overall, I enjoyed it. not the best, but better than other some novels here, that is what I thought. im at the latest chapter, so far, Yiyi is my favourite character, stuttering character and naive but kind. and MC? well he's a coward at the beginning, but he grows slowly stronger and not hateful character like some other MC. and he is kind of cringe sometimes for saying the skills names often and talking like a cultivator in cultivation novels, especially when he is facing the opponents. thank goodness it's not always, it's bearable. no OP MC, but surely grows stronger but slow, which I don't mind. (He is not a simp, don't worry about it) other characters have their moments too, but not deeply enough i think. or maybe I should wait for more chapters to say that. since I like "my house of horrors" novel and "my iyashikei game" (those both novels have same author, who wrote them.) i like this one too. well, I hope you guys try to*taste* it a bit if you like it or not. :)
The world is interesting but the characters are hollow and the system is inconsistent. Sometimes the system can reinforce things can are weeks but when needed it suddenly takes minutes. As near as I can tell the author is just making it up as they go and lacks any plan.
I think this book is really good sadly the translation is little bit bad but the story is something I haven't read before and is good enough to make up for it
this is honestly one of the best chinese novel I have seen in ages. the description the story and the main character are all to my liking. realistic reaction and very good world building. I recommend people to read it
night writing story, mc is very sick with a fever and is teleported into a different world, he is saved by a strange deformed girl he calls the stammering girl. Everything is old and run down, and the whole village looks abandoned the home the girl is in, is moldy. He is shocked when a faceless white humanoid creature appears, and just as he is about go be killed the stammering girl appears and kills it. He is told there are creatures everywhere, and the girl hands him a glowing runestone, with a symbols saying only the stones can resist them so they can be killed, he is told of the other dangers, the black ones who take the form of others to trick you to getting close to them. The shadow scarab at night, scarabs made of shadows come to devour all living creatures, but if they absorb light they die, the problem is they consume the items generating light, he watches as the candles actually shrink as the bugs are dissolved, He is told not to outside after dark, because of the big ones, giant bear sized ticks. He is handed a newspaper and is shocked he can somehow understand a language he has never seen before, and he finds out about how the government abandoned the area he is in years ago, and has walled off the quarantine zone which is slowing enlarging, He finds a strange tattoo on the back of his hand, it is his upgrade system, Lizard Jerky do you want to upgrade, 1 hour 45 minutes to upgrade, ding upgrade complete Protein bar, with his power to upgrade items he will survive in this new cursed world.
