After studying hard the weaknesses of each of my students, I created a training plan for each one them, for Nawaki extensive courses of chakra control and Taijutsu, for Fugaku endurance and speed and for Duy the hardest training, eighteen hours a day, in which I made him vomit and bleed with pure physical training.
Duy... he wasn't going to become the strongest ninja, at most he would become an ordinary Jonin if my training worked. He was weak in every aspect, stamina, chakra levels, and ability to learn or understand things, the only thing he had was determination, a lot of it.
But with determination alone, he would get nowhere, so I would push him to the very limits of his body, to get the most out of him, which wasn't very much.
"Duy, I know I've brought you to the brink of death several times this month," I sighed, sitting down next to him. "But... this is the only way to make sure you don't die on the battlefield, I hope you understand."
Duy looked at me, and with a broad smile said, "It's okay, I understand. I didn't excel at anything, I graduated late..... I'm the worst of the worst, but even so...you haven't given up on me, so no matter what you put me through, I'll do my best to make you proud of me!" I was three years older than him, this was very touching and uncomfortable at the same time.
"Duy, what do you know about the eight gates of death?" I asked him, perhaps that technique was the only way to make him go beyond the limits of his body, and while it was true the eight gates would harm the user at every use, potions would make such technique viable, at least until the seven gate.
"The eight gates of death?" Duy muttered back.
"The Eight Gates exist in order to limit the flow of chakra within an individual's body. It is said that every human can not use any more than 20% of their body's full potential both in chakra and physical might, it's the brain's way of protecting us from harming our body through overexertion and such." I explained to him, as he stared at me in awe, "With training, we can learn to remove these limiters, aka opening the gates. With each opened gate, we are given access to more and more power and flow of chakra, thus increasing our overall might in combat."
"Sounds like a powerful technique," Duy whistled.
"It is, and it has a bunch of cons, using one or two gates has almost no consequences in the body, but anything about the fourth gate brings a lot of stress to our body," I nodded, "the eighth one… that one brings death upon the user, but… seven and below don't," I grinned.
Duy gasped in realization, "You want me to learn that technique?"
"Yes," I nodded, "In fact, I will learn it with you," Unlike him, I could use the eight gate as much as I wanted, thanks to my soul stone.
"I will learn a Jutsu alongside you!" Duy grinned as I nodded, "Count me in sensei, I will not disappoint!" such enthusiasm, his attitude never fails to make me smile.
"Yes, but... know that this technique will make you dependant on some of my support tools," Potions, elixirs, and such to ensure he didn't die for overusing the gates in combat.
"I understand," Duy nodded.
"Also… this technique is a supplement to your own power… the stronger your base is, the stronger the result of the gates will be, so… push yourself harder and harder every day!" Only then, this technique would make him a ninja to be feared.
"Yes!" Duy smiled with determination.
"Then let's meet up tomorrow at training ground three, I need to collect the scroll from the Hokage's office," I smiled, flickering out of the zone.

At Hiruzen's office, I found myself face to face with Danzo, who greeted me with a dark smile, "Raiden… how is your team going?"
I sighed, "Good, I think I will be able to join the battlefield in a month with them," if Duy learned to open at least one out of the eight gates, that boost would help him a lot.
"Good, Konoha needs you in the front, not here…. But you know Hiruzen… he rarely thinks things through," Danzo said.
"We can both agree on that," I hissed under my breath, remembering how he had fucked the crafting opportunity I brought to him years ago with his sick negligence.
"So, what can I do for you?" Danzo inquired.
"I need the scroll of the eight gates of death," I answered.
"You plan to teach that kid... that skill right?" Danzo commented, "I suppose that would help his… unfortunate situation."
"That's the plan," I nodded.
"Very well, I don't see why not," Danzo nodded, handing me the scroll… he knew I was coming for the scroll, that bastard had been keeping an eye on me.
"Thanks… and by the way," I turned to look at him, "If I find any of your puppets spying on me, I will cripple them… so… keep them away from me." At this Danzo laughed.
"I am not stupid boy," Danzo smirked, "I wouldn't dare to spy on you… the future Hokage of the Leaf, no… that would be bad for our business relationship, the ones I am spying on, are your students… after all, I have to keep them safe…" in other words, he was keeping an eye on them just in case I taught them anything from my list of secret techniques so that he could use them.
"Do what you want with Fugaku and Duy," For I was not gonna teach them anything from my skills, "But leave Nawaki out, lest you want to lose your precious root before it even begins… Danzo." I glared at him, the mere thought of him using Nawaki infuriated me, and if he did, I would kill him.
"And there it is… the darkness of a true shinobi, the remorseless intent within your eyes to kill me should I go against your words," Danzo clapped, "You are everything Hiruzen should be… good, I will do as you command, Yondaime Hokage." The fuck was going on.
