After Uchiha Shisui left, an old man using a cane emerged from the adjacent room and entered the office of the Third Hokage. This man, with his right eye and arm wrapped in bandages, radiated a cold and calculating aura. He was none other than Danzo Shimura.
"You're raising a tiger, waiting for it to strike, Hiruzen!" Danzo said bluntly as he entered.
"I know exactly what I'm doing, Danzo. I don't need your reminders," replied the Third Hokage, irritation evident in his voice.
"The Uchiha clan can't be trusted. By letting this go on, aren't you afraid of creating an uncontrollable enemy?" Danzo's tone was icy.
"This one is different. His loyalty is to Konoha, not the Uchiha. He won't become our enemy," the Hokage responded calmly.
"You've been deceived by his appearance. He bears the blood of the Uchiha; he'll never betray his clan for us. One day, he'll turn on you."
The Third Hokage looked unimpressed. "So, what is it you're suggesting?"
"Before he becomes as dangerous as Uchiha Madara, use that Wood Release ninja and eliminate him before it's too late."
Danzo's eyes glinted with a murderous intent.
"Kill him? That's your solution?" The Third Hokage raised an eyebrow. "Don't think I don't see through you. You just want his Mangekyō Sharingan for yourself."
Danzo didn't bother denying it. "If he dies, we'll reclaim his eyes. They belong to Konoha, after all."
"He's under my command. If he rebels, I'll deal with him myself. Any unauthorized action against him is prohibited," said the Third Hokage, his voice stern. "This is both an order and a warning."
Danzo snorted in disapproval and turned to leave. "You'll regret this, Hokage."
Meanwhile, in the Uchiha compound, Uchiha Itachi was spending time with his younger brother, Sasuke.
"Brother, why hasn't Shisui visited recently?" Sasuke asked, his innocent eyes blinking up at his older brother.
Itachi forced a smile. "He's been very busy with work lately. He'll visit once he has some free time."
In reality, Shisui hadn't been able to visit because of the growing tension between him and their father, Uchiha Fugaku, over the whispers of a coup within the Uchiha clan. It wasn't just Shisui—Itachi himself was disappointed with his father's stance on the matter. However, unlike Shisui, Itachi couldn't avoid his father, so he tried to stay away from home as much as possible. Today, though, was an exception.
"I see..." Sasuke mumbled, a little downcast.
As noon approached, Uchiha Mikoto, dressed in a dark, elegant outfit, walked into the yard, her gentle expression brightening as she saw her two sons.
"Itachi, what would you like for lunch today?" she asked with a warm smile. It was rare for Itachi to be home, so she wanted to prepare something special.
Itachi had been waiting for this. "Mother, I just got paid for a mission. How about we go out for lunch? My treat."
Mikoto smiled, pleased with the suggestion. "That sounds like a great idea. Let's go out, Sasuke and I will enjoy a meal on you."
"Can we get takoyaki, brother?" Sasuke asked excitedly, his earlier disappointment forgotten.
"Of course." Itachi ruffled Sasuke's hair affectionately.
The three soon left the house, making their way to the bustling food street.
As they departed, another figure approached the Uchiha mansion, slipping past the guards who patrolled day and night. It was none other than Uchiha Shisui.
Itachi had deliberately suggested going out for lunch to ensure the house was empty, allowing Shisui to infiltrate unnoticed. Shisui moved swiftly through the mansion, heading directly for Fugaku's study, where he suspected the secret room was hidden.
After a careful search, Shisui found the hidden entrance beneath a bookcase. He lit a small lantern and descended the stairs into the secret room. His eyes quickly scanned the shelves, reading the labels of various scrolls.
"Advanced Fire Style Ninjutsu Scroll… Wood Release Ninjutsu Scroll… Advanced Illusion Techniques…" he murmured as he passed them. His eyes finally landed on what he had been searching for: a scroll labeled Sharingan Secret Techniques.
But there was a problem— the scroll was sealed. Designed to prevent theft, the scroll would self-destruct if tampered with incorrectly.
Activating his Sharingan, Shisui carefully analyzed the seal, using his advanced knowledge of sealing techniques to unlock it. The seal unraveled, and he opened the scroll with a deep breath, eager to uncover its contents.
The first technique detailed within was called the Transcription Seal. This technique allowed the user to implant their Sharingan's unique power into someone else's eyes, with the effect activating after a certain period or under pre-set conditions. It was an impressive and practical technique.
After quickly recording the details using his Sharingan, Shisui moved on to the next entry.
"Izanagi," he muttered, reading through its description. This was the Uchiha clan's ultimate forbidden jutsu, powerful but requiring a great sacrifice. The technique allowed the user to rewrite reality itself, nullifying any damage or even death for a short period of time, but at the cost of permanently losing the sight in one eye.
Shisui was astonished. "The power of this technique is incredible, despite its dangerous price."
After memorizing the details of Izanagi, Shisui continued to examine the remaining scrolls.
