Back with Naruto
Naruto was engaging Nadare in taijutsu as they ran up the side of a cliff, separating after ever bout of blows.
Naruto was carefully gauging the older man's strengths and weaknesses as they met each other in the air for a few punches.
Nadare charged at his once more. He tried to catch Naruto off guard with a kick, but it was easily blocked. He then went to a jab with his left hand, but Naruto blocked once more and then countered with a knee to the gut sending Nadare back a few feet. They charged each other again and traded blows, neither one of them giving an inch. However, Naruto wasn't even using his logia abilities, he was just blocking Nadare's blows.
"You're not bad kid. With that sharingan you look just like Hatake Kakashi. He was the one who saved the princess all those years ago. I hope you don't run away like he did."
This statement surprised Naruto a little but he quickly shook it off. It was entirely possible that did happen, but it wasn't going to help him anytime soon.
This time it was Naruto who charged and engaged Nadare in a fierce match of taijutsu. They traded blows evenly and blocked them just the same. They had returned to the ground as they fought, the cliff's surface was cracked from when they used it as their battleground. Naruto was far better in taijutsu and he knew if. If things continued at this rate then he would eventually overwhelm Nadare. Naruto drove his fist into Nadare's gut causing him to cough out saliva. He quickly retaliated with a much weaker right hook than before and attempted to connect with Naruto's face. Naruto caught Nadare's fist and ducked below his kick that he followed up with. The sharingan user got in close with surprising speed and launched Nadare into the cliffside with a kick.
Naruto notied that Nadare's chakra armor was beginning to crack from constant impact.
'It seems taijutsu isn't this guy's specialty. If I can exploit that then I'll have the advantage. I need to get closer, I can't give him the time to perform any ninjutsus! Dammit too late!'
Naruto jumped back to get some distance between them as he saw his enemy forming hand seals.
"Hyoton: Haryu Moko (Ice Release: Tearing Dragon Fierce Tiger)!" A large tiger formed out of the ice around the man on the cliff and rushed toward Naruto with impressive speed.
Naruto managed to dodge the tiger's first few strikes, however the technique seemed to pick up speed.
'Hyoton? No it's pure ice manipulation from the surrounding ice. Anyone can learn to do it. Perfect. My Katon has the advantage especially when we're surrounded by ice.'
The right side of Naruto's body and the left half of his fece caught on fire. He rose his right arm and released his flames, Kyokaen (Miirror Flame)!" A large wall of fire met the tiger in the middle and completely melted through it and continued to roar towards Narare.
The man didn't move, thinking that the chakra armor would protect him. However, he was wrong. The flames were to powerful and caught him in there path, burning a hole through the glacier in the process.
When the flame died down, Nadare could be seen in the middle with most of his clothes burned off with his chakra armor still intact. He was covered in burns but he could still fight.
'So the chakra armor managed to block some of my flames eh? And he managed to use a last minute Hyoton jutsu to protect himself. Quite impressive indeed.'
Flames littered the battlefield and slowly began to melt the ice into pools of water, they ate away at the surrounding ice making it that much harder to use his Hyoton jutsu.
Nadare slowly rose up from the burning field of ice and prepared for his next move.
'That was no ordinary Katon jutsu. My chakra armor was completely useless. The ice is beginning to melt from the exposure of such intense flames, this is the perfect chance to escape. We need to retreat things aren't fairing well.'
Naruto was about to charge Nadare once more when the man started making hand seals. Something tole Naruto to keep some distance from this jutsu and he was right.
"Hyoton: Ikkaku Hakugei (Ice Release: One Horned White Whale)!"
A large whale with a long horn erupted from the ice that was separating Nadare from Naruto, causing mass damage and destroying most of the glacier, separating Naruto from him as he made his escape.
"Fubuki, Mizore! We're retreating!"
With Hana
Hana had managed to work around Mizore's chakra armor. Once she got used to the speed he was fairly easy to deal with.
She had to keep watching his punches though, he was strong and if he made contact it would be hard to recover.
The battlefield was scarred with craters from the man's punches and her and her ninken's Gatsuugas.
Hana knew that she was wearing down that chakra armor that he had on. It would only take a few more bouts of taijutsu to completely shatter it. He relied on that armor far too much and once it was gone she would have the edge.
She was getting ready to charge again when the ground started to rumble and she saw a huge whale made of ice crash into the glacier causing it to become unstable.
"Fubuki, Mikore! We're retreating!" She heard the man who Naruto was fighting call.
