Read before you begin
I will be releasing this story soon. This story, as its name suggests, is based in the Naruto world or the Shinobi world. However, there are several changes to the plot. I will follow a few of Naruto's earlier retcon.
The major retcon being:-
1) Rinnegan is a unique Dojutsu and is among the three most powerful Dojutsu after the Byakugan and Sharingan. So, this means in the new story Rinnegan won't be an evolution of Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan. There are a few major things that I based this off on.
(i) Sharingan slowly evolves from One-tomoe to Three tomoe and then to Mangekyo Sharingan. During all these evolutions, it retains all of its abilities. But as soon as it evolves to Rinnegan, it loses them all and gains completely new abilities.
(ii) When introduced, it was a unique Dojutsu to the leader of the Akatsuki, pain. And he had had this Dojutsu since his childhood. This makes me think that it was supposed to be Pain's exclusive Dojutsu. Now Pain is an Uzumaki clan member.
(iii) Uzumaki clan has entirely different abilities from the Senju, but somehow they are a branch of the Senju clan. What things changes in the story:- So, with the above mentioned change.
(i) Rinnegan will be an Uzumaki clan, Dojutsu. An extremely rare Dojutsu of the clan.
(ii) Uzumaki won't be a branch family of the Senju clan but still the descendant of the Sage of Six Paths, similar to how Kaguya clan doesn't seem to have any ties to Hagoromo and Homura, the only descendant of Kaguya and yet somehow they are Kaguya's descendants. Does that make sense? Only if Kaguya had more children.
(iii) The backstory of the Uzumaki clan's heritage and extinction will change. They were feared for their demonic summons, sealing abilities and possible awakening of their powerful Dojutsu, Rinnegan.
(iv) This means the story will change entirely with different events and powers.
So, if only if you are fine with such changes should you invest your time in this fan-fic. I will add more paragraphs to this as the story progress.
Note: I will be expanding the world a bit more and shed more details on the geography of the shinobi world. Since some of the arcs and chapters will be outside the leaf village.
As I mentioned in the synopsis, there will be several continents and islands other than the Shinobi world. This story will explore all these islands with several arcs in other nations and continents. The story progress will be slow and most of the time would be spent on world building and exploration.
There will be several slice of life moments. If you are looking for back-to-back action arcs, then this novel won't be for you.
The story starts when MC is 4 years old. And we won't see him graduate academy until like 75+ chapters. I have clear cut story arcs in mind. Chapters will be twice as long as of Madara's Grandson. The average length of Madara's Grandson chapter is 1500 words, but for the new story it will be 2500-3000+ words.
So, the 75+ chapter of this story equates to 150+ chapters of Madara's Grandson. Since the chapters are twice as big, the updates will be slightly slow. 4 chapters/week. The reason being I want to finish the Madara's Grandson. Once Madara's grandson is complete, this will be my main story.
*******IMPORTANT NOTE*******
Several points above are subject to change depending on the story progress and reader's response. But I already have a roadmap in mind till 100 chapters at least.
