*Sizzle*
As the last embers of the blazing fire died out, Sato joined his hands and prayed to his parent's graves.
He had finished giving his thanks and was ready to leave.
"Let's go."
Said Sato, turning away from the burial site.
"Alright, hold onto me."
"I'll carry you this time, or you won't be able to keep up with us."
C said while picking up Sato with one hand, as if he weighed nothing.
To be fair, he was pretty malnourished, but not to the point of weighing like a feather.
And C was going to run at long distances with him on his shoulder too.
'This just goes to show how strong Ninjas are.'
'Even regular Jonin like C easily outclass normal humans.'
Ninjas, even the most basic chunin could move faster than human eye can see, using body flicker they could almost teleport short distances.
It was obvious why C thought Sato won't be able to keep up.
"Ready? Let's go."
*Swish*
The team flashed away, their destination being Hidden cloud village.
'I can't see anything, it's like the world is a still image instead of a video.'
Sato was speechless, but this level of speed meant he would reach his destination faster.
He certainly didn't have to wait long.
After around 10 minutes of travel time, the group had arrived at their destination.
*Swish*
The squad slowed down, which allowed Sato to look at the world normally again.
"Finally."
He grumbled, which made everyone in the squad smile.
Yugito Nii grabbed Sato from C's shoulder and put him down gently.
"Don't worry, you will get used to this soon."
"It's not a difficult technique."
Sato stumbled a bit after landing on the ground, but managed to balance himself.
Now that he could see normally again, it was messing with his ability to stand straight, but he held on somehow.
Which made the squad happy, they knew Sato was a nice and polite kid, so they wanted him to become a good Kumo Ninja.
His ability to get a hold of himself this quickly showed he had the mental strength of a Ninja, at the very least.
"Can you walk?"
Asked C while Yugito Nii supported him from behind.
"I can."
Sato answered with assurance.
Hearing which C looked at his two squad mates, who instantly flashed away, not minding this the trio slowly made their way up the mountain.
But Yugito didn't stop holding Sato's hand as she walked.
Sato didn't care either, the closer he was to the two tail jinchuriki, the better.
He could see she was softer on him than she was on her squad mates.
This was normal, as before mastering her tailed beast she was hated by the people in her village.
Although she was now respected, despite being a jinchuriki, Yugito always remembered the alienation back then.
She didn't blame them anymore, but that didn't mean she wanted to open up to everyone.
But Sato was different, he was just an innocent kid, she felt comfortable being soft towards him.
Maybe it was her maternal instincts at play, she after all lived alone, being a jinchuriki was such a life, not many men like a woman housing a demon inside them.
She had long accepted she was going to have no family of her own, so when she found Sato relying on her, some part of her wanted to hold onto that.
'I wonder if Sato would be sacred of me after knowing the truth.'
'After all nothing good can come from being associated with a jinchuriki like me.'
Yugito Nii thought without showing anything on her face.
She was a seasoned Ninja, if she wanted to hide her emotions not many would be able to tell.
But Sato could feel her hand clench his just a little tighter.
'What's on her mind?'
Sato thought, he didn't say anything out loud either, not because he didn't want to, but because they had arrived at the entrance of the village.
The man guarding the gate saluted them as soon as he saw them arrive.
"You are back, C sama, Yugito Nii sama."
The guard's eyes soon went towards Sato, who was holding hands with Yugito.
His eyes widened a little after seeing Sato, excitement visible on his face.
"Is this the mission target?"
"The hyuga heir looks a lot like a boy, I almost didn't recognise her."
Both Sato's and Yugito's faces became hard to look at after hearing this, but C almost laughed out loud.
"Pffft"
Closing his mouth after receiving a glare from Yugito, C waved his hand while attempting to stop his laughter.
"Hahaha- Sorry sorry, I couldn't help it Yugito."
"Domoi, he's not the hyuga heir, our mission failed, he's Sato."
"He's a strong boy."
C smiled while explaining to the guard.
The guard was taken aback but slowly became grim and nodded silently.
A nod which both C and Yugito mimicked as they too become silent.
If Sato was a normal child he would be very confused at what just happened.
But he was no normal kid.
'This was obviously a signal, they just spoke of the hyuga heir, the mission they are talking about has to be the hyuga affair.'
'Holy shit!'
'It all makes sense now, why C, the aid of Fourth Raikage was there with two Jonin, why Yugito met them from a different direction.'
She was supposed to be the backup for this team in case they managed to kidnap Hinata and had to beat back Konoha Ninjas.
'The hyuga affair.'
'It happened after a hidden cloud ninja kidnapped Hinata and her father managed to save her by killing the cloud Ninja.'
'But Third Hokage being Third Hokage, decided to punish the Huyga's for defending themselves instead.'
'The Hokage even agreed to kill the Huyga head just because Hidden cloud casually threatened Konoha.'
If not for Neji's father killing himself to save his twin brother, who was Hinata's dad, Cloud Shinobi would succeed and get a pure Byakugan.
'It's funny, how hidden cloud was ready to go to war with hidden leaf because one of their own was killed.'
'Yet Hidden leaf decided to kill one of their own because they were scared shitless from a threat of war.'
This gets even funnier when you realise Hidden leaf was the winner of the previous war, and hidden cloud had to stop because they no longer had the capacity to fight.
This was a hollow threat from Kumo, yet Konoha would rather kill one of their own than grow a spine.
'It dosen't take a genius to see which village was safer to live in.'
Sato shook his head, whatever, it no longer mattered to him how corrupt hidden leaf was, he was hidden cloud's Ninja now.
The worse hidden leaf was, the better it was for him.
