Hiroshi was a little frustrated and a little intrigued by his choice, why did Danzo do what he did, he already knew about the Akatsuki and its main target so capturing the Ichibi was like putting himself in the crosshairs of a group made up of 10 S-Rank criminals.
'Or maybe it's a precaution against their plan, a countermeasure to delay their plan if nothing else works.'

[Day 75: Your group of 4 sneak into the main base and approach Danzo-sama's office for the briefing, Danzo-sama was apparently not present in the base as his assistant dismissed your three companions before he motioned for you to follow. You arrive at the prison cells where most of ROOT's prisoners were imprisoned, as you walked through the corridors you quickly recognize both of Gaara's siblings lying knocked out in two different cells. After a few more minutes of walking you arrive at a locked door. Danzo-sama's assistant rapped on the door in a set pattern and after a couple of checks, you were allowed entry into the room. Danzo was perched on a table where Gaara was lying, he was awake but restrained as a couple of people were examining the seal that was inscribed on his head.]

They should most likely be the seal masters of ROOT, they were trying to figure out a way to remove Gaara's seal or at least improve it to disable its loopholes.
[Day 75: Danzo motioned for you to come closer as he asked, "Have you learned Seal compression?" You shook your head in denial. "Never mind then come close and watch," Danzo concentrated a small amount of chakra at his fingertips, his finger touched the kanji on Gaara's forehead and the seal slowly unfolded onto itself covering Gaara's head and torso. You quickly noticed the liberal use of Uzumaki Fuinjutsu which looked like it was rudely crammed together to make a functioning seal. "Notice anything familiar?" Danzo-sama asked, you nodded and started pointing out the various seals, "...even the Uzu, it is almost an exact replica of an Uzumaki Storage seal with these additional components," Hiroshi pointed out the two odd parts that seemed almost disconnected from the rest of the seal, "this filter allows the chakra stored in the primary loops to flow into his tenketsu's... and this looks like parts of a communication trigger seals."]
Hiroshi froze for a moment, now that he knew what his counterpart was talking about, it was ridiculous how different Naruto's seal was from Gaara's. Gaara's seal, according to what he could glean from the simulation was just some bunched-up seals that were scrambled together in an attempt for Gaara to seal a bijuu inside of him, have a way for him to communicate and draw onto its chakra.
'But then again it was stated multiple times in the anime that Gaara's seal was flawed, there was no filter for him to tune out the Ichibi, and with constant bloodlust flowing through him. Gaara couldn't even sleep before the seal malfunctioned allowing the Ichibi to take control of his body.'

[Day 75: "Yes, the main function of this seal is that it relies on Gaara's willpower to keep Ichibi at bay." Danzo spoke as he once again looked through the seal, "Memorize this seal, I want a working prototype of this seal with a kill switch attached to this matrix." Danzo spoke before he continued, "Learn Seal compression as soon as possible and make sure the superficial pattern does not change." Danzo ordered before he dismissed you. You left with a bow and started focusing on learning Seal Compression.]

'So he took this opportunity to have a fail-safe for when Akatsuki does start making their move on collecting the Jinchuriki, if he just kills the Ichibi before Akatsuki manages to capture it he could buy at least an extra 1 or 3 years.'
Hiroshi wasn't sure how long it takes for a Bijuu to resurrect, he just knows that it took the Sanbi around 3 years to resurrect. Maybe if the resurrection capabilities depend on the number of tails one had, then it would buy an extra year, if it was fixed at 3 for every Bijuu then it would buy him an additional three years.
It was a solid plan that he hadn't thought of before, and it was quite viable too, considering if one had the strength to kill a Jinchuriki.
'It's not like I have to fight a jinchuriki head-on, seals were invented for a reason...'
Hiroshi has grown a little costumed to how flexible seals were, once he knows who his opponent was, he can counteract almost anyone.
'No need to let it get to my head, I'm still a novice when it comes to the grand scheme of things.'
Still, Hirooshi wanted to know what happened to the third Hokage, did Danzo interface at all with the battle.
'It's frustrating now that I can't even control my character in the simulation, I can't even explore the damage done to Konoha to get an idea because almost everything would be against orders.'

[Day 77: You woke up once again in your room, and you quickly got dressed into your ROOT uniform, after going through your morning routine you sat down on your seat and start learning how to compress seals, after gaining a basic understanding of the technique you try and modify a basic explosive tag into a compressed seal.]

'And the monotonous routine starts again' Hiroshi snarked as he continued reading through the simulation log.
[Day 78: You woke up once again in your room, and you quickly got dressed into your ROOT uniform, after going through your morning routine you sat down on your seat and start learning how to compress seals, after several attempts you gain a basic understanding of how to compress seals as you successfully create a new version of the basic exploding tag. You learn a new skill {Seal Compression}.]

'So what is it like, did I compress the kanji for an exploding tag to a dot or something?'
[Day 79: You woke up once again in your room, and you quickly got dressed into your ROOT uniform, after going through your morning routine you sat down on your seat and start mapping out the various components of Gaara's seal, the seal was cramped with uneven forms so it wasn't that hard for you to figure out various places where the kill switch could go to. You thought for a bit before you took a simple insta-kill switch from a seal from Danzo's archive and you start drafting various possible seal matrixes.]

[Day 80: You woke up once again in your room, and you quickly got dressed into your ROOT uniform, after going through your morning routine you sat down on your seat and started trying to implement seal compression on all of the derived seal matrixes, almost all of the compressed seal had some deviation to the original 'kanji'. You quickly realize that your Seal compression level is too low to get the desired outcome. So you started testing all derived seals on some animals, out of 23 derived seals, 2 of the seals worked well although the final range needed to be tested.]

[Day 81: You woke up once again in your room, and you quickly got dressed into your ROOT uniform, after going through your morning routine you arrive at Danzo's office and presented the two seal matrixes to him, "I need to test the distance at which the trigger seals actually works." You place down two rabbits and two scrolls on the table that had the seal matrix placed on their stomach. Danzo nodded and spoke, "It'll take 6 days to confirm if the seal works from here to Suna, in the meantime try to figure out more derived seals as a failsafe." Danzo ordered as he dismissed you.]
