章節 2: The Art of the Mischievous Smile(Remake)

"Ugh, I'm bored, System, give me a mission!" I groaned, scanning the classroom for any hint of excitement. My eyes landed on Naruto and Sasuke, locked in their usual heated debate.

"This could be fun," I mused, a mischievous grin spreading across my face. "Class is almost over, time to spice things up." I rummaged through my bag, pulling out a tattered, dusty cloak and a pair of oversized, bug-eyed glasses. My transformation was complete.

Meanwhile, Naruto and Sasuke, mid-argument, felt a sudden chill run down their spines. They glanced around nervously, their eyes landing on me, a silver-haired girl with a wide, unsettling smile.

"Hey, what's with that creepy grin?" they both yelled in unison.

"Oh, just a friendly heads-up," I said, my voice dripping with mock concern. "Be careful walking home tonight. You might encounter some...ghosts."

"GHOSTS?!" Naruto shrieked, his eyes wide with terror. He promptly earned a stern reprimand from Iruka-sensei.

"Naruto! Why are you yelling?" Iruka-sensei barked, his voice laced with exasperation.

Sasuke, however, just stared at me with a skeptical frown. "You're kidding, right?" he muttered, clearly not buying my ghost story.

(A/N: Hmm, who will be the lucky recipient of Rumi's first kiss? Sasuke, the stoic brooding type, or Naruto, the energetic, albeit slightly clueless, one? The suspense is killing me!)

"Idiot," Sasuke scoffed, rolling his eyes at Naruto before storming off.

"Sasuke-kun, be careful walking home alone," I called after him, my voice laced with a hint of playful flirtation.

Sasuke shot me a confused glance, shrugged, and continued on his way. My mission was a success. I'd successfully injected a little chaos into the classroom.

Naruto, despite his bravado, was a walking, talking embodiment of fear. He stomped down the street, muttering, "Who's scared of ghosts? I'm gonna be Hokage! Hokage don't fear silly things like ghosts!" He puffed out his chest, trying to appear brave, but his voice trembled with every word.

Meanwhile, I was hiding behind him, my dusty cloak billowing in the wind like a phantom's shroud. My bug-eyed glasses magnified my already mischievous grin, and I couldn't resist letting out a low, guttural moan.

"Who's there?" Naruto squeaked, his eyes darting around like a startled rabbit's. He shivered, his teeth chattering, as the wind rustled the leaves around him. "It's just the wind," he tried to convince himself, but his voice wavered.

A few minutes later, Naruto, convinced he'd conquered his fear, strutted down the street, chest puffed out, his Hokage-in-training swagger back in full force. Then, he saw me. Standing there, in my full ghost-costume glory, wielding a rusty, but very real, gardening rake as a scythe.

"AHHHH! A GHOST!" Naruto shrieked, his eyes bulging. He turned and ran, his legs pumping like pistons as he sprinted towards his house. He burst through the door, yelling, A ghost! It's after me!" He scrambled under his bed, pulling the covers over his head, muttering, "I'm too young to die!"

I watched him run, my laughter echoing through the empty street. I couldn't help but admire his dramatic flair. Then, I turned to Sasuke, who was still standing there, looking at me with a mixture of amusement and bewilderment.

"What?" I asked, tilting my head. "Didn't you see? It was a ghost! A very scary, rake-wielding ghost!"

Sasuke just shook his head, a small smile playing on his lips. "You're a weirdo," he said, but there was a warmth in his voice that made me smile.

"Maybe," I said, a playful glint in my eye. "But at least I'm entertaining."

Sasuke chuckled, and for a moment, I felt like I was the only person in the world. Then, he started walking again, and I realized I was still holding my rake. I couldn't help but feel a little disappointed that the moment was over.

"Hey, Sasuke-kun," I called out, my voice a little quieter this time. "You're not scared of ghosts, are you?"

Sasuke stopped and turned, his gaze meeting mine. "No," he said, his voice low and steady. "I'm not scared of anything."

I smiled, a genuine smile this time. "Good," I said, "because you're going to need to be brave if you want to be... well, you know."

(A/N: she meant to beat itachi)

Sasuke just shrugged, a hint of a smile playing on his lips. "Maybe," he said, and then he turned and continued walking. I watched him go, a feeling of warmth spreading through me. It was nice to have someone to talk to, even if he was a little bit of a grump.

"Another day, another way to sleep," I mumbled, burying my face in my arms on the desk. Iruka-sensei was in full-blown lecture mode, his voice booming through the classroom as he berated Naruto for yet another prank. Honestly, I was more entertained by the way Naruto's hair stood on end with every word Iruka-sensei yelled.

Suddenly, Naruto, mid-argument, leaped onto Sasuke's table, his face inches from Sasuke's. He was staring at Sasuke with an intensity that could melt steel, or at least, that's what it looked like to me. I glanced over in confusion, just in time to see a student, completely oblivious to the drama unfolding on the table, trip over a stray book and fall directly onto Naruto.

The impact sent Naruto tumbling forward, and in a moment of pure, accidental chaos, his lips landed on Sasuke's.

The classroom went silent. Even Iruka-sensei stopped mid-sentence, his jaw slack with shock.

Naruto, however, was in a daze. He stared at Sasuke with wide, bewildered eyes. "My first kiss!" he exclaimed, his voice laced with a mixture of disbelief and disappointment. "It was supposed to be reserved for Sakura!"

Sakura, who had been watching the whole scene unfold with annoyance and anger, glared at Naruto. "You stole my kiss, you dobe!" she yelled, her hands clenched into fists.

I couldn't help but burst out laughing. The whole situation was pure, unadulterated comedy. It was like watching a slapstick routine, but with ninja and a whole lot more drama.

The classroom buzzed with a strange mix of confusion and amusement. Naruto, his face flushed a bright shade of red, was sprawled on the floor, his limbs tangled with Sasuke's. , Sakura her face a mask of fury, was hovering over him, her fist clenched, ready to unleash a barrage of verbal (and possibly physical) abuse.

"Naruto, you idiot!" she shrieked, her voice echoing through the room. "You're supposed to be a ninja, not a lovesick puppy! And what was that, kissing Sasuke? He's not even your type! He's all brooding and dark, you're all sunshine and ramen! It's like oil and water, you two!"

Iruka-sensei, his face a picture of exasperation, was trying to pry Naruto and Sasuke apart. "Naruto! Get off of Sasuke! And what in the world are you doing?!"

Naruto, still dazed from the unexpected kiss, mumbled something incoherent about "Hokage" and "true love."

"Hokage?!" Iruka-sensei roared, his voice booming like thunder. "You're talking about Hokage when you're practically drooling on Sasuke? You're a disgrace to the ninja world! Get up, get out, and don't come back until you've learned to control your hormones!"

Naruto, his hair standing on end, scrambled to his feet, his face a mixture of embarrassment and defiance. "But Iruka-sensei, I was just..."

Before he could finish his sentence, a flying sandal whizzed past his ear, landing squarely on his head. Sakura, her eyes blazing, glared at him. "That's for kissing Sasuke!" she yelled.

Naruto, his face now a shade of purple, stumbled out of the classroom, muttering about the injustice of it all. Iruka-sensei, his voice still booming, continued his lecture, his eyes narrowed in disapproval.

I watched the whole scene unfold with a mixture of amusement and intrigue. I couldn't help but feel a pang of sympathy for Naruto, but I couldn't deny the humor of the situation. I turned to Sasuke, who was still sitting at his desk, his face a mask of stoicism.

"Hey Sasuke," I said, a mischievous grin spreading across my face. "How did your first kiss go?"

Sasuke looked at me, his eyes narrowed. "I don't know what you're talking about," he said, his voice flat.

"Oh, come on," I said, leaning closer. "Don't tell me you didn't enjoy it. I mean, Naruto's lips are pretty soft, even if he does have a tendency to drool."

Sasuke rolled his eyes, but a faint smile played on his lips. "You're a terrible person," he said, shaking his head.

"Maybe," I said, a playful glint in my eye. "But at least I'm entertaining."

Meanwhile, Hinata, who had been watching the whole scene unfold with a mixture of horror and fascination, fainted dead away. Iruka-sensei, his voice rising in panic, yelled, "Hinata! Hinata! What happened?!"

I couldn't help but laugh. This day was turning out to be more entertaining than I could have ever imagined.

The classroom was a battlefield of emotions. Naruto, his face a mixture of defiance and desperation, was pounding on the classroom door, his pleas for entry drowned out by the booming voice of Iruka-sensei.

"Naruto! You're a disgrace to the ninja world! You're a walking, talking disaster! You're a..." Iruka-sensei paused, searching for the right words to express his utter exasperation. "You're a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a..." He sputtered, his face turning a shade of crimson. "A... a... a... a.. Menace!".
