"stay away from my guard." Ling Han said as he entered the black tower, Elise appeared next to him. But she fell to the ground the next moment. She angrily jumped up as she looked at Ling Han.
"What is your damage? If will help you fix right now," She said as bright Qi gathered at her fist. She was just enjoying a good nap. a dragon loved her sleep. A few days of just sleeping were not out of the picture.
Ling Han brought her here without thinking. He forgot it was her nap time.
"my bad, I didn't know you were asleep. No need to be so angry when we are about to break through to the supreme earth immortal. It would be like breaking into Early earth immortal without actually breaking into it." Ling Han said with a smile
"really? Then let's breakthrough. I was just about to beat some sense into, so I'm all awake." Elise said with a smile, but Ling Han just snorted

"you are just a cheater," Elise said with a pout as she ignored him. Ling Han shrugged as Brunhild cultivation which was absorbed into the black tower, was absorbed by them.
The black tower floors have been opened up all the way to the 6th.

A few days went by within Elise and Ling Han absorbing Brunhild cultivation. after eight days, they stepped out of the black tower to face their tribulation.
Upon appearing above the endless ocean, they made some distance between each other and summoned their tribulation.
But they quickly flew further apart as the size of the tribulations was much larger than they expected. They flew so far apart that they couldn't see each other, yet that was far enough.
Brunhild sat in the black tower while watching a screen of all of this happened.
"underestimated the power of a supreme grade tribulation. It is the power of the world trying to kill you. there will be no lightning, just a perfect counter to your strength." Brunhild said with a smile as she ate an apple
"What, you never told master this," Berry said in shock as she appeared before Brunhild
"I know, but he is stepping upon a road filled with many mysterious. Adapting to surprises shouldn't be too hard for him." Brunhild said calmly as Berry hesitated before watching the tribulation
Ling Han looked at the sky, but he saw no lightning gathering. After a moment, a bolt of lightning fell. Hitting him, but it didn't injure him at all, which confused him.
Suddenly the world around Ling Han began to break down before it reformed. He appeared in an apartment, the doors to the apartment suddenly opened.
A middle-aged man wearing a suit and tie stood before him. He had tired eyes as he walked through the doors. He fell weakly to his chair as he closed his eyes to get some rest.
"nice, an illusion of my path life. Is this the tribulation or what?" Ling Han asked as he walked around the rundown apartment, which wasn't taken good care of.
"How does it feel. living a life where you are selfish." The tried man on suddenly spoke, stunning Ling Han for a moment

"They are family." He said with a frown as he looked at Ling Han. The scene changed as it showed a sick woman who was lying weakly on the bed.
"This is our mother. You are saying you would take back everything you did to save her life." He asked as he pointed at the sick woman
Ling Han hesitated as he looked at her. Images of his childhood with this woman flashed through his mind.
"... so this is the trial, a test of heart." Ling Han said softly as he looked at her.
"dad passed away long ago. I had to work from a young age just to care for her and our little sister. You are saying that you would just stand and watch her die? How about our little sister, you will just stand there and match as she also passed away? you were the only lifeline they had." He said as he looked at Ling Han
"I'm not a hero. Yea, you ended up saving their life, but at what cost? You overworked your body." Ling Han said with a smile
"yes, I love her. But she is the main reason I don't want to start a family, so I might not have to go through something like that." Ling Han said as the world began to break down
"you want an answer? I would pick my little sister over her life, Instead of trying to help them both. so yes, I would watch her die." Ling Han said as he walked over to the mother of his past life.
"I would stand at her bedside knowing I could have saved her not choose not to because I wanted to live. I'm not an MC from a story where everything always ends with a smile. I'm selfish. I'm greedy. I'm lustful. if your happiness brings me sadness, then only death awaits you." Ling Han said as he held her hand
The world which was breaking down suddenly stopped before it put itself together. Ling Han frowned as he looked at himself,
"you talk big, but what look before you." He said as Ling Han looked at the hand, he was watching. He noticed he held Yin Hong's hands, who was giving birth.
Ling Han looked around and realized that he was in a completely different place.
"Master, the only way to save the baby's life is with your lifeforce. someone else holding your blood would work, but you are the only one in the immortal realm and lower realm." Berry's panicking voice sounded from the spirit farm.
'this is an illusion.' Ling Han was confused as he sensed everything back the black tower to the spirit farm. nothing around him seemed like an illusion. Everything was so real, which made him hesitate
"master, snap out of it. the baby will die in a few minutes if you do nothing." Berry said in a panic
'how much life force.' Ling Han asked. His little trick to escape death wasn't all that perfect. If he gave up all of his life forces, none would return to his soul to build an alive body.
"... all of it. a life for a life," Berry said in a low voice, which made Ling Han's heart drop as he looked at the pale Yin Hong.
Ling Han sighed, hearing Berry's words. If this wasn't a tribulation, he was about to lose his unborn child.
'where is the tree of life?' Ling Han asked softly to berry
"Master, she left a few days ago after reaching the second level of her Dao of life and death. Master, are you alright?" Berry asked, confused as to why Ling Han was asking these questions
A golden ring appeared in his hands, as the talisman Odin gave him was taken out.
"Master, you forgot you used it a few days back to kill the other person with a system?" Berry asked, making Ling Han grit his teeth
'is this a tribulation? or what, it's most likely is, but there is a chance... damn?' Ling Han gritted his teeth as he looked at Yin Hong stomach
Letting his child die would not sit right with him, but he didn't want his life to end just like that.
"sigh. I'm no hero." Ling Han said as he placed his hand cover Yin Hong stomach, slowly he began to infuse life force into the child,
after a moment, he started to age until he pulled his hand away. Yin Hong's pale face retained its color after some time. The child was born, but at the cost of Yin Hong's life.
"you gave the child your lifeforce until it learned it got the hang of it. you then had it absorb Yin Hong lifeforce," Ling Han past life said as he appeared before Ling Han
"I would have had the tree of life being her back to life. I didn't know if the tree of life or the mirror of samsara would bring me back to life after I lost all of my life force. So this was this war the only way." Ling Han said with a shrug
"you are just selfish," he said to which Ling Han nodded
"that I am. if you have a problem with that, you can go fuck yourself." Ling Han said with a shrug as the world began to break down at a fast rate
Soon he appeared above an Ocean, as heaven and Earth energy entered his body. Ling Han looked at his fist, before smiling seeing he stepped into Supreme Earth immortal.
this feeling of power rushing through his body, if he went up against his himself from a moment ago. a finger was all that was needed to kill 10 of himself,
Ling Han looked far away and saw a large water giant was fighting Elise. Water was her weakness. Out of all the Dao, she didn't pay much attention to the Dao of water since she thought it was weak
She tried to freeze the water giant, but the water was moving at high speed that her speed of freezing stuff was too slowly
"I told her to cover her weak spot. but, what do I know." Ling Han said with a shake of his head, but he froze when he saw Elise fly into the clouds. a moment later, it began snowing
"The Dao of rain fused with the Dao of ice. A perfect balance to form snow... and a blizzard." Ling Han said, seeing the dense amount of snow that was falling.
Three days later, the snow stopped falling. Elise could be seen stand on top of the ice giant with a frozen ocean below her.
"Roar." She let out a roar at the sky. disdaining it, lightning flashed across the sky, sensing the Disdain within Elise's cry, but it slowly disappeared.
"How did you break through without battle," Elise asked as she turned back into a human form
"some stupid trial of the heart," Ling Han said with a shrug,
Elise nodded in understanding as they both entered the black tower.
