When one entered the real estate industry, one could see almost anyone. It was rare to see a boss of a small restaurant next door.

One would rent out one's storefront to open a shop for others. When one saw that the other had made money, one would be envious. One would think of ways to drive the other away. The best way was to raise the rent by a large margin.

When the tenants moved away, the landlord would start managing the business. However, it was often a case of stealing the chicken but losing the rice. Seeing that the other had done well was not the same thing as starting the business himself.

This business could be considered a typical example. Due to the failure of the investment and the loss of money, the already bad relationship between husband and wife was now even worse. Now, there was an argument every three days and a dozen every five days. If the business was not his, they would have long gone to the streets to beg for food.
