When George Flack saw the message from Mallia Mamet, he felt a little regretful. He should not have mentioned it to her prematurely. Now that she suspected Thomas Yates, wouldn't that expose him?
"Just like I stopped asking about the kidnapping incident, so you should stop asking about this too."
The messages were coming through slowly; Mallia Mamet could imagine that if George Flack was right beside her, he would be hemming and hawing.
