71.42% My Reincarnation Is As Abnormal As I Expected / Chapter 39: First Year of Highschool (3)

章節 39: First Year of Highschool (3)

A normal human should have, at least, 12% of fat in their body. That is the healthy amount of fat one should have in their body. While having one's body made of 19% fat is still okay, it won't be good in the long run.

Fat is addicting: once you taste it, you will never get over it. Today, you eat a delicious burger of WhackDonald, and promised to yourself to eat it once a month.

However, fat is way better than a temptress; it keeps successfully calling you to go down its slippery hole.

※We all agree oily things are slippery!

"Come on, just a little bit won't hurt. I'm SUPER tasty. EAT ME, DADDY!"

While the fat in your food will never say that to you, it isn't that far of. Source: me, the Omniscient Reader.

Therefore, you can never stop indulging yourself in it. The more you dip your self into the slippery hole, the more you don't want to get out.

※I'm still talking about fat indulgence.

Once, your body is made of 14% fat. But the next morning, you will find yourself waking up to a body made of 40% fat.

You look into the mirror; you can't recognize yourself. You try to move, but it's difficult. You will try to run, but you quickly get out of breath.

When it becomes too much for you, you will mourn in regret for the loss of your previously unhealthy fat-free body. However, you will also be reminded of your loyal company.

Yes, I am talking about Fat-chan!

Fat-chan will stay by your side, and keep urging you to eat her. You, being a desperate bloke, who know nothing about self-worth anymore, will answer her call, and ended up entering Fat-chan's slippery hole even further.

※I'm talking about Fat-chan's version of "Rabbit hole".

Then, the day when you realized you have mingled with Fat-chan too far will come. That day will be the day you know you fucked up: the point of no return, where you can't even turn your body around, literally.

All of that because of what? A tasty burger of WhackDonald?! It's worth—I mean, it's not worth it! Your life is much more important than the sweet temptation of Fat-chan!

This is the reason why people go to the gym or working out privately at home.

They don't want to have a nosebleed inducing body, but just a healthy lifestyle. Still, most of the time, the former is the reason people go to the gym.

That being said, our favorite hypocrite, Hachiman is currently working out in the gym to remove another 1% of fat off his body. His tank top is drenched with sweat; his muscles contract each time he lifts the weight.

Asako is sitting in a chair not far away from Hachiman, supervising him—his butt to be exact. She is just simply amazed at how thicc they are. She can never hold herself back from mol—appreciating the texture of his butt.

You may wonder what happened to her for the past few months after she got diagnosed with CML. However, nothing much really happened; she went on her day as usual.

Of course, there is still a difference in her usual behaviour. She acts less seductive around Hachiman, and gropes his butt less than before.

Although Hachiman attributes it to Asako's way to lessen her sin, in truth, Asako is just too tired to mol—appreciate his butt. Her body is getting weaker day by day, and she needs to conceive as much as energy to live her life even longer.

She can get treated, but she doesn't want it. She doesn't like prolonging her suffering: she is aware of her impending doom, and she doesn't count her self on the false hope of surviving.

She stays true to her principle, carpe diem: she will enjoy her life, until death finally comes to pick her up.

Suddenly, Asako feels a hand touching her cheeks.

"You okay, Asako?"

Looking up, she can find Hachiman looking at her with his neutral, but weirdly comforting gaze.

"Not really. I got leukemia. But, I'm living right now. So, I guess I'm fine?" She replied.

Hachiman faintly smirks, before chuckling softly. "I can see that." Hachiman wipes the tears off Asako's cheek. "Therefore, don't be sad. You are fine, and you will still be until the end of your life."

Asako recoils in surprise, and quickly touches the other side of her face. She became even bewildered when she noticed it is wet with tears.

"I—I am not ... This—this is ... Why am I...?"

Asako can't understand what is going on. She doesn't think she is sad, but tears keep running down her face. In the end, she can do nothing but cover her eyes with both of her hands: she became aware of her reluctance to die.

Hachiman looks down at Asako briefly, before kneeling on the ground to be on the same eye level as Asako. He then puts his hand on her head, and rubs it tenderly.

"I have ever been in your position: I didn't know why I cry, but I couldn't stop it from occuring. It feels so weird and wrong, but so right to let it happen."

He is referring to his misdirected sorrow over his idiotic sister's death.

"Being afraid of death is natural, especially when it is already close. But, know that everything will come to an end. Even though you will die earlier, everyone is bound to die; I WILL also die. You are not alone in this matter, Asako."

Hachiman opens the hands covering Asako's eyes to properly look at them. They are teary and wet, as her emotion has taken control of her mind. She looks so fragile at the moment—it doesn't suit her.

Hachiman stares directly into her eyes. His deep gaze seems to penetrate her soul; she's captivated by it.

"Therefore, you just have to accept it and embrace it, for real this time."

Hachiman smirks. "So, what if you are going to die? Life sucks; you should be grateful for leaving it first! Just enjoy the rest of your life, and die as a badass motherfucker: die as yourself."

Asako is motionless for a moment, before slowly cackling up. It doesn't take long, until it became a full-blown laughter. She also cries this time, not out of sadness, but humour.

"Ku-ku-ku. Thanks, Hachiman." She stands from the chair, then slaps Hachiman's ass. "I need that!" Asako is back!

Hachiman smirks faintly at her, before resuming his workout.

His work is done.

As a psychopath who is given the opportunity to "feel," he doesn't understand emotion well yet: he can't comfort people. What he did to Asako was merely reminding her of herself, as he can see she's starting to lose it.

He has promised to himself, after all: he will be Asako's friend until her end.

...

Sixth Month.

October has come, and the students face another midterm. Hachiman aced it and forgot about it, again.

Today is the result announcement. Since Hachiman already knows his result, he doesn't bother himself to look at the announcement.

Therefore, he is currently lying down on the floor of the school's rooftop, while gazing at the clear sky of autumn. Looking at it, he feels ... nothing.

Yes, nothing.

Only two kinds of people can get something from gazing the sky. First, a meteorologist; second, a schizophrenic bastard. Source: Chris Sasaki.

When Hachiman is about to close his eyes to enjoy the bone chilling coldness the autumn wind brought, the door to the rooftop is slammed open.

Bang!

He can hear an irritated footsteps coming at him, and he actually knows the identity of its owner. It is a girl he is acquainted with.

"Shit, Mom will be mad at me. Why does math have to be so hard? Do I really need to learn calculus so I can succeed in life?!"

Stomp!

The girl stops walking, and stands straightly on the ground with her hands folded. Unfortunately, she was too focused on her rambling, she didn't even register Hachiman's existence.

Therefore, she stopped right in front of Hachiman's head, giving him a full view of her body part that has always been protected by Zettai Ryōiki—her crotch that is protected by her pantsu.

"Black lace ... so bold."

The girl blinks her eyes once, before stepping back and looking down to the ground. She is met with Hachiman's neutral face that is decorated with a slightly teasing smile—in her vision.

"Yo! Ninja-san!"

"Y—Y—You! You pervert bastard! What have you done to me?!"

The girl, Kawasaki Saki, who got named Ninja by Hachiman, attempts to kick him. However, an attempt remains an attempt: she isn't success in her endeavor.

Hachiman has already moved away from her kick trajectory even before she managed to hit him with her foot.

Now, Hachiman is standing slightly away from Saki, who is red with embarrassment and anger.

"Wanna hear some joke to ease your mood, Ninja-san?" Hachiman quirks his eyebrow slightly. Saki is still glaring at him, but he doesn't care. "You are the only Kawasaki series I would love to ride."

"Don't Ninja-san me, disgusting bastard! I am Kawasaki Saki!"

With this, a fight between a female Karateka and a male MMA practitioner occured. It takes three minutes until the fight died down, and the winner comes out.

Hachiman, an advocate of gender equality wins!

"Are you really ... choking a girl?!"

Yes, Hachiman is choking Saki on the ground, like an MMA fighter.

"Yes, honey. Your gender doesn't matter to me." Hachiman smirks. "I can choke you in a pleasant way, but someone will kill me if I do that."

"What ... does that ... even mean?"

The pauses in Saki's speech is caused by her difficulty to breathe. Hachiman really upholds the rule; only when Saki taps the ground, does he let go of his choke.

"Damn, you really have no mercy, do you?" Saki said while massaging her neck.

Hachiman rolls his eyes lightly. "Stop dramatizing things. I know it's not that hurt. I barely used 40% of my total physical prowess."

"Still, I can't believe you are a man."

Hachiman lightly snorts. "A true man will treat women equally, and will never hesitate to slap them back! Source: me." An unamused look is all he got from Saki.

"Anyway, you got bad grades, didn't you?" Saki quirks her eyebrow at Hachiman's question. "I have an offer for you. I want you to take care of someone for me, and I'll pay you for it."

"Why would I do that?"

"I know your family is struggling economically, so you work until late at night to help your family."

Saki is slightly surprised, but Hachiman doesn't care about it.

"The work I am giving you doesn't require you to work until late at night. So, you can spend the rest of your time to study, and maybe achieve a scholarship in the future."

Saki is genuinely interested in the work, but she has to make sure about it first. Therefore, she asks, "Who am I taking care of? Just so you know, I WILL NEVER become an escort." She shoots Hachiman a fierce glare.

"No, I won't tell you to do that." Hachiman shakes his head faintly. "I want you to become my friend's assistant in her gym, Grisaia."

He looks seriously at Saki, then continues, "She has only a year to live, and her body is getting weak each day. I will be grateful if you can lessen her job. Furthermore, working in a gym suits a strong woman like you, no?" He ended it with a wink.

Saki blinks at the rather grave mood, before eventually nodding her head.

"Very well. I will look to it first."

"Okay, good." Hachiman nods his head. "I will take you there now."

"Eh? Right now?"

"Yup! Everyday is a workout day, after all!"

Hachiman is slightly excited of his achievement. Not only could he help Asako by bringing Saki, but also confuse her since there will be two Saki coming to her gym!

In case you don't know yet, Kanda Sayaka, the Seiyū of Yuna from SAO passed away four days ago. May her soul rest in peace.

(╥﹏╥)

With that being said, I got COVID (LOL)! In quarantine, but I'm fine ... hopefully.
