But as she turned the corner, a sleek black car suddenly screeched to a halt in front of her, blocking her path.

Startled, she instinctively stepped back, her breath hitching in her throat. Her pulse quickened as the driver's side window rolled down, revealing a man in a tailored suit. His expression was calm but firm, a sharp contrast to the chaos swirling inside her mind.

"Lena," the man said, his voice smooth and kind, trying to reassure her. "I'm Leo. I'm Jack's boss, and I'm here to take you back."
