"Father must have let Leo into the house out of habit," I thought to myself as I tucked myself to sleep in the master bedroom. Since Father was still working, I decided not to disturb him and go to sleep first, thinking about how Leo must have given my father some trouble this afternoon as a result of staying here. I subconsciously sighed when I thought of the difficult days ahead solving Adrian's bizarre case.

As usual, I wasn't able to get into a deep sleep and was instantly startled awake when I felt some movements beside where I lay on the bed. When I smelled the familiar scent of body wash that belonged to my father, I instantly relaxed and allowed my father to hug me from behind. As he did so, I shifted around in order to face myself against my father, feeling his strong heartbeat through his chest. Father did not say anything and simply stared at me with his warm eyes as I slowly fell to a deep sleep.
