"I'm fine, Courtney, it's just a scratch…"

"B – But it's bleeding…"

"Yeah, it's okay, I'll live…" I can tell she doesn't believe me. Then I happened to glance at this Jace guy who was handing over the guy he captured to an officer. I might've been staring for too long that he caught me doing it. We stared at each other for a moment when Officer Kate appeared out of nowhere right beside him.

"Good work, Jace! Appreciate your assistance." She took his attention by cheerfully tapping his back. Unconsciously, I went near the two and again took his attention. Though it was Officer Kate who spoke first, "You too, Phoebe, you single-handedly disarmed the robbers, I'm impressed."
