Upon hearing the sounds of battle coming from the shrine, Rune and his group decided to take a detour to a cliffside overlooking the area. Once they arrived, they were able to get a better grasp of the situation. The multi-story red-roofed building as well as the surrounding area were all in clear view.

Down below, three barrier priestesses were taking on a force of about a hundred Wolf Clan soldiers. They were doing their best to hold them back but were slowly losing ground. An obvious outcome against such disparate numbers. More fighting could also be heard coming from inside the shrine.

"I don't see their leader with them," Carin said.

Rune tried asking her how she could tell but it was Luna who spoke up instead, "Barrier Priestesses work in squads of five and each squad leader can be identified by their prominent purple armbands."

"That's right. The fact that she is not down there with them probably means that someone strong infiltrated the interior of the shrine."
