The shop opened again and Alex went to the weapon section to find a new weapon. He found exactly what he wanted, a katana. It was a high grade weapon and the lowest price started at 2000EP, nevertheless he bought one for a price of 5000EP.
"Why did you buy a katana? It's no different from a sword"
"That's what you think"
The Steelserpent attacked with its tail again and Alex saw it coming but instead of blocking or dodging he sliced through its tail. The Steelserpent hissed loudly and started a frenzy attack but Alex sliced through each and every attack.
"You're really good with the katana" Alexa said "Awesome, have you ised it before?"
"No this is my first time, I guess I just have a knack for it but more than that..." 'What's this all of a sudden?'
The Steelserpent shed its skin and its cut up tail came back like it was nothing. It got ready for another strike but this time it was coiled up. Alex knew that it wanted to take a huge leap at him. The Steelserpent's actions played out before him like holograms and it followed each action in perfect order. Alex needed no one to tell him before moving out of the way and he successfully dodged the serpent again even though it was faster than before.

"Is that so? I guess I better put this skill to good use then" Alex pulled his coat off and pointed his ready blade at the serpent. "Bring it on"
Like as if it understood what he said the serpent lunged at him with more speed than before but he could see its movements before it even made them and it was no problem for him to dodge. He used his fire magic to set his blade on fire and rushed at the serpent with great speed. It attacked with its tail several times but he cut through all its attacks and was up close in it's face. He wanted to slash through its head but it shot its tongue at him. Alex reacted quickly knowing that the tongue was dangerous and fired a huge bolt of flames at it.

The snake backed off and hissed at him while he landed safely on his feet. 'Figures, snakes hate fire after all. Guess fire is going to be my main weapon in this match. Its tail is less armored than the rest of its body and that makes it easier to cut through but it's still hard enough, not sure I'll be able to cut through its head, I'll need something more decisive' "Shop, Weapons, Gauntlet"
The shop showed him many gauntlets and there were many nice ones but he was looking for one that boosted strength to use it to deal a decisive blow, one that the Steelserpent could never recover from. He was glad when he saw what he was looking for- a pair of gauntlets with an attack boost against armored opponents and even better he had just the amount of EP needed to buy it.

"Awesome" Alex dematerialized the katana and the gauntlets appeared on his fists the moment he tapped yes. "Now..." He ran at the Steelserpent and jumped at its face while it lunged at him in response. "...Let's kill this bitch"

"It's your first fight in a hunting ground and you went off fighting like a 5★ raider, what do you expect?"

Alex walked out of the temple and saw Trevor sitting and waiting for him
"You've returned my friend" Trevor said. He was sitting on the rock where Alex had left him so Alex assumed that he never moved from the spot. He was starting to like this man.
"I thought you'd already left but here you are, still waiting for me to come back"
"It's the least I could do after you helped me that much. I presume you have beaten the boss"
"Yeah l, it was a bit tough but that's done. Let's go"

"How long have I been gone?" Alex said to Alexa while he climbed into the room where he met Daniel through the window.
"You've been gone for about five and half hours, you really think they aren't going to know?"
Alex gently closed the window after climbing in and wanted to get back into his hospital clothes but he sensed something and stopped.
"So you know I'm here"
"I know you're both here" Alex turned around and his gaze locked with his mom's. Alice was beside her and they were not looking happy at all.
"Where did you go?"
"..."
"Alex, where did you go and how did you just climb up sixty stories of this building? I want answers, now"
'Is this supposed to happen? I'm not supposed to get caught like this. Don't main characters get to keep their secrets and stuff until they reveal it themselves?'
" So you think you're some main character now? Well you've been caughtso you gotta come up with something"
"Well mom the thing is... you see-"
"I want you to explain this"
Sherry gave Alice a sign to go and Alice walked over to Alex and she placed her phone on the table beside him. The phone was open and a video was playing on it. Alex looked at his mom like he was confused and she gave him the go-ahead to look at the video playing on the phone. Alex picked the phone and took a look at the video. Behold, it was a video of him fighting the Giant Black Steelserpent and the worst part was that this was playing on a news channel. He face showed clearly in the video so there was no denying it. Alice took the remote on the table and pointed it at the huge TV in the room , turning it on. The news was playing and Alex was trying hit topic right now.
"Someone's in big trouble"
'Shut up and let me think'
"So, you wanna tell me what this is all about?"
"Mom I have an explanation"
"O you better do, and I hope it's a good one"
