Matilda's POV:

He leaned his head toward me. I could feel his breath on my body, but I didn't run away. Instead, I kept staring at him.

Yes, I was very petite. His muscular arms could completely envelop me. He could completely control me, but that didn't mean I would run away with my tail between my legs. No, I wouldn't give in to such pressure.

"You're always provoking me," he said in a low voice.

"You..."

"Don't interrupt me, my dear." He suddenly calmed down, making me feel even more terrified. It felt like he was laying low, ready to snap his prey's neck at any moment, "You should have seen how your father dealt with the person who provoked him."

He seemed to have turned into a stranger. My hair stood on end as I pursed my lips and looked at his determined jawbone.

"You spent the entire night trying to escape from me. You even used your body to seduce me."
