Adeline’s POV

My life after the mating ritual has been anything but slow-paced. It feels like I’ve stepped onto a rollercoaster, but it continues to ride the circuit without wanting to stop. Sometimes it makes me feel breathless and out of my comfort zone.

I have no choice but to continue riding it because I’m contractually tied to Zale and can’t back out now. I’m in too deep. The entire plan would be ruined if I decided to go back on my word to Zale. I would risk losing the financial help Zale offered me.

I would be stupid to back out when I’m close to the finish line. You just have to stick with it, Adeline.

Zale and his parents have informed me that the announcement of my place as Luna in the Carmine pack takes place after graduation. I want to make sure that I completed that before committing to Luna. I have zero clue how long I have to put on the charade.
