Eli's world seemed to stop. Belle's words kept replaying in his head and his eyes never left her face. She was the only one he could see at this moment. Everything just turned into a blur. 

"No, it didn't occur to me that you might like me," Eli answered nervously. His palms were clammy and he licked his lower lip quickly as it had turned dry from anxiousness. "The... uhm... the person you wanted to move on from... is that person me?" 

Belle swallowed drily before slowly nodding her head. "Yes. You are that person." 

"Since when?" Eli asked and scooted closer to her. There was a smile on his face as he tried to get information about her feelings for him. 

"When what?" 

"Since when did you start liking me?"
