Knowing that he was about to enter a True Dream, Xander had some idea of what to expect, but since it was birthed from the mind of a Dreamweaver, he felt certain there would be some deviation from the norm.

Unlike the common dream crystals, which could only open a portal to an already existing dream, the enchanted dream crystals were capable of storing dreams within them. And the crystal in Xander's possession contained a dream consciously molded in the mind of a Dreamweaver.

Since enchanted dream crystals were extremely rare in Merantis, one such crystal could easily fetch up to ten thousand Vireks. This was precisely the reason they were never used for training the new pupils.
