After all they did together, Desmond was somewhat amazed that Leonor could be self-conscious in front of him. 

However, that wasn't his main concern. He was worried about her physical state. 

Marks marred her breasts and neck. He didn't know that he had gotten so carried away by the taste of her skin but he felt awful. 

"Was I too rough with you?" he asked, horrified. "Please forgive me for being an animal. It wasn't my intention to hurt you." 

Leonor felt instant relief that his words weren't of ridicule but concern. It wasn't as if he ever treated her the way her father did, but the mental scars from being under someone's overly critical thumb were lifelong. 

"Of course not," Leonor argued. 

Her sapphire eyes dropped to her chest. She would have to look at her neck in a mirror later on.
