She didn't know why her tone sounded so formal. It was like she was meeting him for the first time like he hadn't been her friend for the past months.

His aloof attitude and blank gaze on her made her feel so little. Like she wasn't anything to him.

Had her suspicions been correct? Did he really pretend to be her friend just so she could get distracted while they stole her product?

"It's okay," he mumbled, barely glancing at her.

Jared dropped his hand and proceeded past her. His familiar scent flashed before her nose and it was like her heart was being punched by an iron hammer.

Why was he behaving like this? Didn't he recognise her anymore? He didn't even stop to talk to her.

Suddenly, she remembered Shimaya's words from earlier. 

You should talk to him if you are so bothered. Does he want to talk to her?
