Jared saw the agony on his secretary's face which made him feel a little bit guilty for the awkward position he was always putting Fred in anytime he wanted to sneak out of his office.

But this was Ariana he was talking about. She had asked to meet up with him so nicely and he couldn't just disappoint her like that.

Now was the time they needed to talk and get things between them straight. Work could always come later.

"Fred, please help me out," Jared put on his best pleading face as he looked at his secretary.

"But sir, your father would be livid if he-" 

"I know, Fred, but I just have to go to see her. It is a bit urgent and I am not sure I will be back for the day," Jared let out hesitantly as the look on his assistant's face fell even further.

"What will I tell him? He is expecting to see your report first thing tomorrow morning. Can't you go another time? Or maybe later when you're done with most of the work?" Fred seemed to beg now.
