"Yes, and when you're done with that, you can report back to the manager to give me the last checklist before we can get the authorized signature," Jared nodded his head.

"Yes sir, is there anything else you need?" the worker asked.

"Uh, the-"

The door was burst open as Trevor stepped inside the office without knocking and with an annoyed look on his face.

"Why have you been ignoring my calls?" he spat as he rested his hands on his torso.

"Uh, do as I said and get back to me by today," Jared told the worker and he nodded before he left the office.

Jared straightened up as he stared at his friend with a solemn look, not giving away anything.

"Why haven't you been answering my calls?! Are you so smitten with the new date that you forgot I was the one who hooked you up in the first place?" Trevor asked with a raised eyebrow.

"If you weren't my best friend, I swear you have been punched after what I had to go through yesterday," Jared muttered.

"What? What did you go through? Wasn't she alright?" Trevor frowned.

"Alright? Yeah, she was alright, at acting like a total riffraff!" Jared spat.

"Oh, my, what happened?" Trevor moved to sit next to Jared.

"Oh, I don't know where to start from, dear friend. Should I start with the type of clothes she wore, or the manner in which she talked? Or the fact that she nearly get me caught by the police for illegal drugs?!" Jared huffed.

"Oh, my God!" Trevor gasped.

"Indeed," Jared rolled his eyes.

"Gosh, man, I'm sorry about that. How were you able to escape her?"

"Well, I got helped by someone at the last minute," Jared murmured as he thought of the crazy idea where Ariana decided to jump down the building.

"Oh, that's a relief. I really had no idea she was that type of person, she looked decent in the picture. How can looks deceive so terribly?" Trevor sighed.

"Exactly," Jared mused.

"How was your date with your girl?" Jared asked, wanting to steer off the unpleasant subject.

"Uh, it was going well, very well until I got a call from one of our old friends who is a girl and she got pissed and walked out on me," Trevor dropped his head onto the chair with a sigh.

"Woah, what hot temper, it was just a girl," Jared scoffed.

"No, she was not just a girl!! According to my girlfriend,"

"Cheers to a whole week of pleading, buying gifts, and acting like Prince Charming," Trevor held his forehead.

"Sucks to be in a relationship," Jared chuckled.

"No, it doesn't suck. It's just...complicated," Trevor huffed.

"No wonder you barged into my office like a mad girlfriend. Why the hell should guys throw a tantrum for not picking calls for one night?" Jared rolled his eyes as he got up to move to his desk.

"Well, I was having a rough time last night and I wanted to talk to you about it but you just had to ignore me, didn't you?"

"Thank Goodness I didn't pick. I wouldn't have had a peaceful sleep if I did," Jared muttered.

"By the way, do you know much about the Jatropesh? Ariana Jatropesh?" Jared asked.

"Ariana Jatropesh? Isn't that the famous diva in the industry? Your Dad's rival?" Trevor raised an eyebrow.

"Famous Diva? What do you mean by that?" Jared acted like he wasn't too curious to know.

"You haven't heard about her? She's seen as a total Goddess over here due to her gorgeous looks and Princess lifestyle. People say she is so delicate that a little scratch can take her to the hospital for weeks," Trevor laughed.

"Doesn't sound like the same lady who jumped down a building with me," Jared mused under his breath.

"What?"

"Nothing. I just said what a silly observation," Jared shook his head.

"Yeah, but why are you asking? Already keeping your future enemies close?" Trevor wiggled his eyebrows.

"Enemy, no, but keeping close, maybe," Jared shrugged as he took a sip from his coffee.
