My father legacy 

Sam's POV

As Bella tried to follow me and Aunt Maya, I turned to block her path.  

"Stay here, Bella," I said firmly. "This isn't something you need to be involved in."  

She looked at me with wide eyes, clearly wanting to protest, but I didn't give her the chance.  

"Jacob," I called, turning toward my Beta. "Lead us to the hospital, and make sure the security team is fully instructed to guard every entrance. No one gets in unless I approve it."  

"Yes, sir," Jacob responded promptly, already pulling out his phone to give the necessary orders.  

The ride to the hospital was tense. Aunt Maya was unusually quiet beside me, lost in her own thoughts. For my part, my mind was racing. My grandfather was awake. 

After months of uncertainty, he was finally conscious. Relief mixed with anticipation I'd waited for this moment, not just to see him well again, but to finally get answers.
