"Selene and I were doing fine before your family came into the picture; before we found out about her identity. I will tell her the truth and when that time comes, I hope we won't have any sort of problem," Xavier glared back at Ezekiel, making his message clear. 

Silence reigned again—none of them speaking a word as they scowled at each other. 

When the silence became too uncomfortable for Ezekiel, he tore his gaze away from Xavier. 

"About what Harrison did to her—" He decided to change the topic. There was no way he was going to ask Xavier to divorce Selene. They'd only just found out the truth and only intended to pull Selene towards the Clark family. 

"She's getting back at them little by little," Xavier replied. 

"If she needs any help—"

"I'm here to help her if she needs one," Xavier interrupted one more time which only aggravated Ezekiel, but he held it in.
