Allison tried to move her wrist so that her fingers could reach the wristwatch—the same wristwatch Kace had given to her the time she'd visited Derek's house because he wanted to meet with her. 

After the time her father had paid a weird visit to the college, demanding she follow him to wherever he wanted, he'd given her back the wristwatch to wear and tap on it whenever she was in trouble. 

He also found Mr. Quinn creepy. 

When Allison was successfully able to tap on the wristwatch, sending an alarm to Kace even though she wasn't sure if he was in the city to rush to come help her, she still sighed in relief. 

However, she still needed to find ways to escape.

Many emotions wanted to drown her in sorrow. The first was her very own biological father, trading her just so he could pay off his debts.
