"S-she didn't s-say," the girl managed to answer, forcing her saliva down her throat which seemed to have become a difficult task. 

Anastasia rested her back on the wall as she glanced around the room. She was the only one sleeping there now since Angelina was gone. 

"Let's go."

The girl nodded, steadying Anastasia as she eased off the bed, her steps unsteady as they moved into the hallway. Everything looked different to Anastasia; she hadn't left the room since being brought up from the basement, where her punishment had been dealt. Each limp forward reminded her of just how long she'd been confined.

They got downstairs, and Anastasia glared at Michelle's back. She hadn't seen the latter also for over a week and now she was facing her, all she could think of was how to claw her face without anyone finding out she was the one that did it.
