"Why would we do that? They're sex slaves that were promoted to be surrogate mothers for our clients?" Samantha was the one to ask. 

Anastasia slightly shrugged. "I was just thinking, wouldn't it be better if they were getting paid so they could have a little something for themselves?"

Both Xander and Samantha shared another look. 

"They're sex slaves—"

"I understand that you've kidnapped them and forced them into all of this, but that doesn't guarantee they'll stay loyal," Anastasia said, her voice steady. "Keeping them locked away in this mansion won't buy their silence. Money will."

A frown settled on everyone's face, including Julian's. The tension in the room thickened as the gravity of her words sank in. Anastasia knew the truth had to be said if they were going to regain control over the situation.

"What do you mean?" He asked. They'd not planned for this at all, but he was ready to back her up.
