As he approached the door, he could hear their murmurs from outside the room. The moment he opened the door and they caught sight of him, the room fell silent. The room was filled to capacity, and he smiled. The few who had been absent had decided to attend after all.
He nodded before taking a seat at the front, facing the older men who were staring at him.
"I'll skip the pleasantries, as I'm not in a pleasant mood. I called this meeting to respond to the previous gathering we had here. I distinctly remember all of you asking for a change in the CEO, and you all recommended Mr. Stone's son, right?"
The members remained quiet, uncertain about his intentions. Only Mr. Stone spoke up. "Certainly, Mr. Wilson. We remember the havoc your actions almost caused this company. We, as shareholders, cannot overlook that."
