Mia shook her head. Would one month be enough to satisfy her M.D. and make her forget about exposing her past? "I think I'll take longer than that. I shouldn't have rushed into it after just breaking off my wedding with Jack, but I got carried away by the unexpected freedom, even though it came in a sad way."

Declan let go of her hand, feeling that there was more to her break than met the eye. "You did what you thought was right, Mia, and that's okay. Modeling makes you happy, and you found a way to get back to it. No one would fault you for going back immediately."
