Before she could utter a word, Declan turned her around, making her lie on the bed while he was above her. His eyes that were closed were sharp like a predator that just caught its prey.

Mia's mouth went dry, and she could barely fathom a reasonable thought or a reason to push him away. Her eyes resumed their journey on his face, taking residence on his lips. They were full and inviting.

"Do you like what you see?"

His voice made her snap her eyes back to his face. She wanted to give a sarcastic response, but her brain decided to neglect her at that moment.

He lowered his lips to hers.

Mia felt like a teenage girl about to experience her first kiss with her crush. She closed her eyes and let her feelings lead her instead of her brain that was screaming it was all wrong. She was still married, and this could easily count as cheating. She ignored the rational part of her and sealed her lips with Declan's.
