章節 47: You are not sad

"So I went to the head of KS and told him about everything that had happened. He told me that it wasn't my fault and that as time passed, I would be able to forget everything. However, I knew that he was wrong and so, I decided to go to the police and turn myself in." 

"So did you go?" 

Akira shook his head as he continued, "No, I was stopped. This might sound like an excuse but at that time, I had only two options; the first was to turn myself in and spend the rest of my life in jail. The second was to accept a promotion at KS and forever keep my mouth shut. I'm sure you already know which option I chose." 

"You got promoted?" 

Akira nodded his head, "That's right. I got promoted. Once again, I started to let go of the guilt and felt that everything was perfect. I had the dream job." 

Zaelek sensed the sadness in Akira's voice and asked, "But you were still unhappy?"
