Lyra Smith was not planning on discussing with Morris Jackson.

She knew that they wouldn't come to an agreement, so why bother wasting her breath? Instead, she might as well find her own way; there was always a sliver of visible hope.

As Morris Jackson walked in, Snow Mastiff followed when it saw that the door hadn't been closed. Upon seeing Lyra, Snow Mastiff's eyes lit up and it wagged its tail, walking towards her.

Lyra felt a fluffy 'ball' rubbing against her leg. Looking down, she saw that it was Snow Mastiff.

"It's called Tata."

Morris Jackson voiced from behind.

Snow Mastiff wagged its tail happily as its master introduced it. It then continued to rub its fluffy head against Lyra's leg, as if asking her: 'Have you remembered my name?' over and over again.

Lyra crossed her arms, held her chin high, and sneered disdainfully, "Humph, bootlicker!"

Snow Mastiff seemed even happier, its tail almost wagging to the point of leaving an afterimage.
