章節 22: That was my woman
"I will take care of her body" he said and took her lifeless body away to be disposed. Instead of just disposing it like they always do, he took her to her family's cemetery and buried her there.
Before he buried her, he searched her body thoroughly and found nothing. He took all jewelries from her body and sent them to her little sister. He also told her how her elder sister died.
Yang Xi cried till she couldn't breath properly.
"This is not the time to cry" code three said. "Pack whatever it is you can pack and leave the country now. I won't be able to protect you. Make sure you leave the country. Here.." he gave her an envelope. " Your sister left this to me. All my savings are in it too. this should be enough for you to survive for two years. They will be coming for you soon" code three left the room to allow her take her things.
"Ok" Yan Xi wiped her face with the back of her hand and quickly packed few important things into her backpack. She didn't forget to take her laptop. She changed into a black jean and black top with black shoes and black face cap.
When she came out, she saw code three looking intently at a certain direction frowning. "Do you know how to use a gun?" He asked, not taking his gaze away from the direction .
"Yes, I do" yang Xi replied.
"Take this" he handed her his gun.
"Protect yourself well with it. Do not let your sister's sacrifice be in vein. There is a passport in that envelope. You were given another identity by your sister in case you needed to run away someday. Quickly go through the fence, now!" He pushed her away just in time to avoid the bullet that was shot to their direction.
"Thank you. If we can survive this day, I will come back to look for you" she said and ran towards the fence and jumped over.
She didn't leave immediately, but hid herself to know who her enemies were.
"Wow! Wow! Wow!" The intruder clapped after each 'wow' "Here you are. And I thought you would be coming back to the mansion immediately you disposed of her body"
"I'm sorry boss, I came to look for her sister like you instructed" code three knelt on one knee and bowed his head.
"Hm... You are so hardworking. I would have been convinced if I didn't see you burying her in their ancestral cemetery. How did you even know that place?" Ximen asked. "Oh! look at my memory, she must have told you"
Code three raised his head. 'so he knew'
"Don't look at me like that, I might gouge your eyes out" he snickered. "Where is she?"
"She wasn't home when I came" code three said.
"I will ask you one last time. Where. is. she?"
"She is not her..." A gunshot sound followed his words; The bullet shot into his thigh; He winched in pain and sat on the floor from his half kneeling position.
"You are bold, really bold. You had the guts to fall in love with my woman. You tried severally to help her escape. You helped her deliver messages to her sister and now you even gave her a 'befitting burial' . THAT WAS MY WOMAN NOT YOURS!. What right do you have to make her happy, huh? who gave you that right code three!?" He yelled. "All these while, I have been ignoring all your faults because you were still useful, but now, you crossed my bottom line when you help my little Lolita escape.
