章節 62: Chapter 62: Library

Next Day Sam wandered into the cozy café where he had arranged to meet Anna. The place was buzzing with the low hum of conversations and the clinking of coffee cups. He spotted Anna at a corner table, sipping her coffee and looking out the window.

"Hey, Anna," Sam greeted as he slid into the seat opposite her. "How's it going?"

Anna looked up with a smile. "Hey, Sam. It's going well. Just enjoying a little quiet time before the day picks up."

Sam nodded and glanced around the café. "Yeah, it's nice here. I thought it would be a good place to catch up."

They chatted about various topics—new movies, the latest in tech, and the unpredictable weather. It was a pleasant diversion, and Anna seemed to appreciate the distraction from her usual routine.

"So," Sam said, after a moment's pause, "I've been meaning to ask you about something a bit more serious."

Anna's expression shifted slightly, curiosity evident in her eyes. "Sure, what's up?"

Sam took a deep breath, searching for the right words. "I know things have been a bit... tense with Brad lately. I was wondering if you might need any help dealing with it. I know it's a tricky situation, and I just wanted to offer my support if you want it."

Anna's eyes softened, however she just took a thoughtful sip of her coffee. "It's been challenging, that's for sure. Brad's case... well, it's not needed."

Sam nodded. "I do understand. Then since you don't need any help regarding this then I guess I could talk about what I plan to do."

Anna listened to this for a moment, her gaze thoughtful. "You know, I've been so wrapped up in handling things on my own that I hadn't really thought about hearing about your plan. But maybe it would be good to get another perspective or just have someone there to help me sort through things. Afterall you are the creator of this plan and the major part of the funding for this project comes from your companies."

Sam smiled, relieved to hear her openness. "I'm here with an idea, Anna. I just hope that you can help he in implementing this idea perfectly—whether it's just listening, brainstorming solutions, or anything else I might need."

Anna returned the smile, her expression a mix of gratitude and relief. "Thanks, Sam. I really appreciate that. I'll definitely do my best to help you."

Sure, here's an expanded version of the text with additional details:

---

Anna, her brow furrowed in curiosity, fixed her gaze on Sam and asked, "What are you planning to do now, Sam?"

Sam shifted uncomfortably, feeling a pang of guilt as Anna continued, "You know, the last time you undertook a project like this, you left me with a half-finished school to manage while you disappeared for five years. I really don't want to go through something similar again."

Sam looked at Anna with a sheepish smile, a touch of remorse in his eyes. "I understand your concern," he said, "and I promise it won't happen again."

He took a deep breath and began to explain his vision. "This time, I'm aiming to create a network of libraries. They'll have the traditional look, with rows and rows of books neatly arranged on shelves, capturing the essence of classic libraries. However, there's a modern twist to it. These libraries will be a new generation of digital libraries. Instead of just physical books, they will house an extensive collection of digital formats."

Anna raised an eyebrow, intrigued but cautious. "So, you're saying these libraries will have both physical books and a digital archive?"

"Exactly," Sam confirmed, nodding enthusiastically. "The physical spaces will offer the comfort and atmosphere of traditional libraries, but behind the scenes, there will be a sophisticated digital infrastructure. This will not only preserve the timeless value of printed books but also make it possible to access a vast range of literature electronically. It's about blending the best of both worlds."

Anna mulled over his words, her initial reservations giving way to a sense of excitement. "That does sound impressive. But how do you plan to balance the traditional and digital aspects?"

Sam smiled, energized by her interest. "The key is integration. We'll ensure that the digital resources complement the physical collections. For instance, readers can find physical copies of popular books while also having access to rare or hard-to-find titles in digital format. This way, we can cater to all kinds of readers and make sure that the library evolves with the times without losing its classic charm."

Anna nodded thoughtfully, her skepticism gradually fading. "It sounds like you've put a lot of thought into this. Just keep me updated on your progress, okay? I'd hate to see another project fall by the wayside."

She paused for a moment, then added, "Another thing—what will be the unique selling point of your library? There are already so many libraries around the world. Why would someone choose yours?"

"Absolutely," Sam responded with a reassuring smile. "I'll keep you informed every step of the way. This time, I'm committed to seeing it through."

He then addressed her question with enthusiasm. "To answer your question, I aim to build the world's most comprehensive book collection. My goal is to include every existing book in the library. I am confident that no one else can match this completeness. I challenge anyone to find a book that exists but is missing from my library. If it exists, it will be in my collection."

Anna's eyes widened with amazement, though a hint of doubt lingered. "That's quite a bold claim, Sam. How do you plan to achieve that?"

Sam leaned forward, his excitement palpable. "It's ambitious, I know, but I have a detailed plan. We'll start by partnering with publishers, authors, and digital archives around the globe. We'll use advanced AI algorithms to scour the internet for rare and obscure texts. Plus, we'll invite the public to contribute, encouraging book donations and submissions of digital copies. It's a massive undertaking, but with the right team and resources, I believe it's possible."

Anna was silent for a moment, processing the magnitude of Sam's vision. "If you can pull this off, it would be revolutionary. But it will take an enormous amount of resources and coordination."

Sam nodded. "I'm aware of that. I've already started assembling a team of experts in technology, literature, and logistics. We'll also be leveraging crowdfunding and grants to secure funding. It's going to be a collective effort."

Anna smiled, finally convinced of Sam's dedication. "Well, it sounds like you've thought of everything. Just remember, I'm here to support you, but I also expect you to stay grounded and realistic."

Sam laughed, feeling a wave of relief wash over him. "I promise, Anna. I won't let my enthusiasm carry me away this time. We'll take it one step at a time and ensure that we build something truly remarkable."

As they continued to discuss the details, Anna felt a renewed sense of hope. Maybe this time, things would be different. Maybe this time, Sam would finally see his vision come to life.

However, what she didn't know was that Sam didn't plan to use such complicated methods to fill the library. He had a completely different approach in mind. What he had told her was just an explanation for the outside world.
