Refreshingly there are no gamey stats and stuff. No HP or MP shit. But it does give me some skills.

Seems like beginner mastery just means that I at least know the basics of the skills but haven't familiarised myself with it yet.
Superior Mind: It stabilizes your mind. Makes your memories more organized and easier to access. Make your mind process sensory information much better. Helps you to multi-task. It helps you visualize and simulate things in your mind.
And if you unlock mental energy, you can use it to create a Mindspace and do things on a whole new level.
Cocoon: Now this is the real skill that makes this a 'Cocoon System'. You can use your spiritual and mental energies to form a complex formation on a creature. A cocoon of spiritual energy is formed, in which whatever genetic transformation you intended will happen.
