The next day I got an alert of another Heatwave attack during class. I headed back to my room and threw on my suit. I walked to the office and signed out of my next class. As I was walking out the gates I spotted Neito and Denki kissing. Neito had Denki pinned against a wall and Denki's hands were under his shirt. Suddenly Hitoshi walked over to them. They broke off to answer something he asked them and both kissed him. I was so confused I didn't notice Hitoshi's smirk as he walked past me. I needed to head out and decided I would head to Hitoshi and Denki's apartment later and ask them. I headed to the area of the sighting and quickly spotted Heatwave. I quickly grabbed her collar lightly tossing her to the ground. She continued burning the buildings around us.
"Stop," I said
"Kiss me."
"No. Ew. I would never kiss a girl let alone a villain."
"Oh come on, just admit it."
"I could get arrested and kicked out of my school"
"Don't worry you can just tell them you were mind controlled again."
"Yeah, and they'll get suspicious again."
I took control of her mind not wanting to hurt her. I forced her to douse her flames and walk back to where she came from. I followed her the whole way there and found an abandoned shack. There was no one inside but as soon as I entered Heatwave slipped out from my powers and I felt them fade. I ducked back into the shadows unseen so far. Suddenly I felt an arm around my throat putting me in a headlock. I saw no one until they all stepped out from the shadows around me. I saw many villains I recognized and many I didn't. Heatwave walked up to a huge throne in the back of the room and pressed a button on her suit. Her suit disappeared into a small bracelet revealing a girl around my age. She was beat up and her skin looked like a patchwork blanket. I saw her black eye I had caused her and winced at how painful it looked.
"Hello Eliza," She said "I brought you here to finally meet the family. My name is Zuri although I'm better known as Heatwave. If you're wondering about my skin it's a result of many years of fighting you self-proclaimed heroes." She gestured to the others behind her "This is my family. I would like to introduce all of them but there are too many. You feel free to talk to them during your stay."
"I'm not staying here! I have to get back to my friends!"
"Which friends? Those dumb ones who distracted you from your mission?"
A video of what had happened just minutes ago outside the school started playing. This time I spotted Hitoshi's smirk and all three of them started laughing once I was gone.
"She looked like she was going to faint!" Denki yelled making them all laugh harder
"I have an idea," Hitoshi said once they finished laughing.
He whispered something in both of their ears and they both seemed surprised at first then happy. That's when the video cut off.
"See." Said Zuri "They were there laughing at you while you were risking your life. Then they had the audacity to plot against you!"
I knew that probably wasn't what they were doing but decided to play along "Those jerks! I'm going to kill them!" The arm released me and I walked to Zuri and kissed her "Thanks, honey." I said before heading off to bed.
