"He hasn't heard from her since yesterday. He said he had tried calling her, but it didn't connect." 

Skye furrowed his brows when he heard the report over the phone. 

After the first person he sent to Karina's and Nori's hometown reported that there was no one in the house, and that the couple had been away for more than five days, he sent another person to confirm from Victor if Nori had contacted him.

But from what he just heard now, he was beginning to doubt his previous thoughts and feel that something indeed was wrong somewhere.

"Alright. Tell him to let me know if and when she does." He instructed, then ended the call. 

It was already midnight and no positive outcome yet. The atmosphere in the house was tense, and the air was thick with anxiety. 

Veron wasn't making it any easier. Although he was not in the living room with the rest of the family, everyone could feel his anger, as his pheromones were going crazy.
