After getting home in the evening, Pei Jingchuan first replaced the cat litter, before heading to the kitchen to make dinner.
Jiang Yuzhu also got home early that evening, and after dinner, the two of them split the housework like a typical married couple.
Pei Jingchuan did the dishes, while Jiang Yuzhu swept the floor.
This happened almost every night.
Jiang Yuzhu swept very slowly. By the time Pei Jingchuan finished the dishes, Jiang Yuzhu had only swept half of the living room. But Pei Jingchuan didn't mind. He walked over to the cat bowl to add some cat food for Xiaobai, then fetched a mop from the bathroom.
"I can handle the cleaning, you don't have to," Jiang Yuzhu said hastily.
She and Pei Jingchuan naturally divided the housework—Pei Jingchuan was in charge of the cooking, while she took care of the cleaning.
But Pei Jingchuan was very efficient, so every time he finished his work, he would always help her a bit.
"It's okay," Pei Jingchuan answered indifferently.
