Zayne put his hand on his face to hide the smile that threatened to break out on his face. 

He might have been wearing a mask, but he did not want to risk letting his face show and being late for his return.

The medical story was a short distance from his house, and he hurried there, thinking of Camelia.

He did not remember what he said to the store lady or how she reacted. He only remembered grabbing the medicine he needed before he headed back home and entered the top floor of the building.

Zayne's feet carried him to his kitchen, where he grabbed a water bottle before uncapping it and taking a huge sip.

But he did not gulp down the water as his instincts told him to.

Instead, he walked inside, only to see Camelia half unconscious as she tried to hump the air and get some relief.
